It would be "something" if a blockbuster trade just blew out from nowhere if for some reason he decided he would not resign. Im not going to speculate what such a thing could be.
Would he even want to be there if Westbrook wanted out? These guys get paid a lot of money and many of them are ok with the reality that not every player gets a chip or can avoid a rebuild.
On the other hand its OKC:
with Oil prices down and fixed expenses to drill and move it the region has been a bit shell shocked regarding this economic event.
Boom town its not right now. Does this play into a factor? With fewer corp. dollars and banks holding oil notes not took lucrative right now is it possible the team has to stream back its ambitions. At the same time if they do, they are sure to have a reduced revenue stream. Just not sure they can continue to maintain what they have in any event.
KD has proven to be a global superstar out of OKC. Lebron became one out of Cleveland. Big markets are not what they used to be!!!!!
Dont believe the local economy will play into his decision, Durant would catch hell if OKC fans thought that was a factor.
Durant re-upped with OKC (after his rookie deal expired) without even testing the market, said he didnt want to, that OKC was home. This time he isnt saying anything, should be interesting.
