don't go by FG% I go by TS% and PG is higher.

PG avg's more assists

They are avg'ing the same reb per game

PG is one of the top defenders in the game.

I'm in Indy, and see a fair number of Pacer games. PG started the season red hot, but has cooled waay off. Anthony has been a better player for the last month. That's all I'm sayin.

ok ... maybe.

Anyway, if I took PG out of the top 10, I would put in CP3 or AD or actually Tony Parker

This is from when his coach got fired.
Harden’s style of play really only works if he’s making shots, though. He’s had some uncharacteristically poor performances, and the Rockets have lost nearly every game in which he has struggled.

No matter how established the roles are, it’s still difficult to bust your butt defensively after watching someone else go iso and miss his 15th attempt of the game. It’s only natural.

Who should have the ball late in the game?
Harden is shooting 30 percent (38 for 126) from the field in Houston’s seven losses, and it’s hard to treat that as a coincidence. Unlike last season, Houston’s defense hasn’t been good enough to survive many bad nights from Harden.

So what’s the difference with the bearded one? You can blame a Kardashian if you want, but Harden’s 3-point stroke is the culprit. He’s shooting 26.3 percent, a far cry from his 37.5 percent clip last season. Reversion to the mean is coming, but McHale won’t be around to see it.

You would have had a better argument if you said ast/to ratio. PG is only averaging .3 more asts(per 36) to Melo but he is coughing it up 1 turnover more(per 36). The rebounds are the same but George is playing more time at PF than Melo.

Regardless I think PG is having the better year but he would not be in my top 10.

top 10 was more of my expectations of him and his defense but I can see the point

he is still a hands down top 10 and the only reason that he slid is because he is not having the same year and the last few for a number of reasons. Last year he was top 3.

Btw, hardens 3 point % is now close to 35% and his WS48 is at .190. We can knock him all we want but I dream that we had a guy like him.

George would be out and I might do a tie at 10 with Paul and Thomas

I can buy that. PG was my only stretch IMHO but he brings so many intangibles and he is a great great defender.

Okay, I spoke too soon. Apparently PG13's December swoon has not carried over into the new year - 32 Pts (21 in the 4th qtr)and 14 boards in tonight's win vs. Detroit.

Does current mean current week, month or year? Or just active players? I thought it was the latter but the way the thread is going it seems people are always focused on now.
