I want the Knicks to have some positive consistency in the back court. I don't believe the PGs I would love to acquire will want to come to NY. So, we will have to gamble to acquire a draft pick for the next draft and acquire a player that can help us instantly. I am well aware of Lawson alcohol issues, but we can't afford to be choosy:::)).

How about we rid ourselves of Calderon and one of the bigs for Lawson and a draft pick?

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

To be honest Nalod, since we don't have a first rounder for the next draft, I would go for a mid level pick. Lawson is due a lot of money and Rockets don't really have a use for him

Houston giving a pick away to get rid of an expiring deal? And take on Jose's extra year?

They may have to include a pick, but no way they take on salary. Simpler just to let him expire.

Lawson is due about $13 million and they have no use for him. Calderon has a much smaller deal and he can be serviceable in that system. If they elect to resign Howard, Calderon would be the perfect guard to feed him the ball

But his deal is done at the end of the season. I think they probably can get something more for Lawson. They also could just waive him after the deadline if they needed to. It is tough to say what is causing him difficulties on the court. There are a lot of reports that he and Harden don't play well together. I haven't watched them enough to have an opinion. His alcohol issues also appear to be serious. He bet on himself when he went to Houston, taking a year off his deal so that he could go there. It doesn't seem to be working out.

No more Nuggets east. Do we get Gallinari and Chandler from the Nuggets too? lol

Lawson though a small potential upgrade, isn't the answer long term. His numbers have gone down a lot this season, maybe the system or his personal troubles, but not worth the gamble. I'd rather gamble on D Rose, than a mediocre upgrade owed big money. Prefer Conley, Walker, I Thomas, or Rubio. Wish Westbrook was a UFA, this team would cook with his pace.

I prefer Rondo:::))). Lawson would be a gamble, but it would be worth it as a short term remedy. The more games we are able to win is the more attractive we will become to FAs. Jackson is a master when it comes to dealing with problem players like Lawson. Rodman too was a alcoholic

Jackson seemed to want to build a very high character team this past offseason. Lawson has been criticized for his work ethic etc. and also has major issues with alcohol. He has talent but he is also a free agent at the end of this offseason. I don't think Houston takes on an extra year of salary with Calderon so who do you move? I don't know if he is worth it at this point.

All do respects, it would be good to get some back ground on contracts before making recommendations. Lawson waived 13mil player option. Forget stats, what kind of player is Lawson that makes him a good fit and that includes his ability to get the offense down QUICKLY!!!!! Mid season upgrades are tough when your trying to get knew team to play a certain way. GS had players together as had Atlanta before last year.

Its entirely possible that as a team tries to get to the next level it takes a step back once the offense starts to gel. Its not a straight line.

Trade makes no sense for either team. Season is nearly half over meaning Lawson is due $6.5 . Calderon still has $12 to go when you factor in next year. Houston would want an asset for it to make any sense and Jax aint jeopardizing team harmony by bringing in a pg undersized to his liking who has had a real issue with acohol and is unfamilar with the triangle
