How many coach's have the knicks had in the last 15 years:

JVG
Chaney
Lenny
Herb
Larry
Isiah
MDA
Woodson
Fish

We are on our 9th coach!!!!!!

How about GM's?

Grunfeld
Layden
Isiah
Walsh
Grunwald
Phil/Mills

That's 6.

How many owners? 1.

Why is this important? Dolan by his admission fired Grunwald after hiring a consulting company and handed over the keys to Phil and said he was getting out of the way.
The great franchises in history of sports had solid ownership who created a management team and from that a working culture that not only created a "Way", but was able to fill in missing pieces when they were poached. While we all admire the Spurs it was the Larry Brown era that spawned Popovitch after Brown departed. Winning culture does that. That's just one example.

Golden State's culture was born from a strong owner who needed about 5 years to build a winning roster but also important a management team. The GM is an alumni of The spurs. They also poached the president of the Suns who is openly gay. That says a lot about an organization and trust. When Mark Jax became unable to work within that he was replaced and the team flourished.

If it ever gets to where Derek Fisher is the weak link and holding back the team i'll be the first to admit its a good idea. I don't think we'll ever really know until hindsight, but I dont' see Fish losing his team nor after 30 games his x's and o's are really all that much a problem given the massive roster change we had since last year. 9 new players!!!!

So basically some fans can call for his head the reality is the team has Triangle experts on staff. He played on phil's teams and was a glue guy so he not only knows the triangle, he can FEEL IT!
After 30 games the knick players are not feeling the triangle, they don't trust it, they are not in synch with it. At some point they have to play thru it and learn it. This has happened before in the NBA and with teams Phil was associated with.

That will mean losses. I personally thought we'd start rough and play into it. Maybe "PHish" thinks the team's ego would be to fragile with losses and Melo would be frustrated from it. Maybe its time the team just go for it and not worry about winning. Hows that sound? Can fans handle it? Is our roster so equipped? What players are not getting it?

9 coaches and 6 gm's. Nobody really has an answer to what coach would be better or should we abandon the goal of a system that has done a lot of winning.

Nalod will worry only about GSW after we lose to them in the finals. After that, most teams are fairly conventional.

One question: would you elect to retain Fisher with a 30 and 52 record this season; specifically, if there is a chance to hire Walton???
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)
