And I know others have talked about it--how much would this team be different if we had a real "now" type of PG. We argued a bit below about Scvhed and while he may or may not be a PG--there is NO doubt that wed be 1-14 with and 14-18 without him--IMHO. We needed to have the mentality that Jose was NOT going to the starter and that Jerian Grant would be a back up year 1(not forced into position he cant handle yet) so with all of this money we spent why couldnt we get a pro PG? If we had good pro PG we be better off. Tony Wroten J Freddette or Eric Green? Put Jerian into our starting Westchester PG so he can develop a game shot?

A player I think can be good is Joe Young from Indian Pacers--can we entice them into a trade for a couple of 2's? What pro PG is available for a trade right now that maybe we can swap a big? Are we going to be patient until we are 14-23? and 7 games out of an 8 seed?

I see these guys as keepers

KP
Lance Thomas
Grant(training in D league)

Anyone else?
I want to trade melo for the best return I can get

I can put Grant into the D league for 6 months

Otherwise what do I have here?

RIP Crushalot😞

ugh another thread about who you're keeping and who you're trading. not surprising that the names have changed from a week ago, either. we get it.

Philly just acquired Ish Smith. ISH SMITH! He's decent, but a huge upgrade for them. They were 1-30 when acquired him.

They won Ish's first game in Phoenix. He had 14pts and 6asts and totally changed the tempo for the entire team. Philly won 111-104. 111pts was the second most points Philly had scored this season.

They're leading tonight in Utah. Ish Smith has 19pts 9ast thru 3Q.

Point guard is by far the most important position in the modern NBA. Phil's refusal to admit this is killing this team.

Absolutely Cryz. Jose Calderon "shouldve" been waived and stretched. This whole decent start is subterfuge--this is NOT a good team. Guards have their way with us both ways.

Ish Smith just hit the game-tying three in the final minute and has two alley-oop assists to Nerlens Noel in the final two minutes. 22pts 11ast in his second game there. We don't have a guard on the roster who could put up those numbers.

I don't hate parts of the Triangle, but I hate how it de-emphasizes guard penetration and point guard creativity. The NBA is built for this - the rules are geared to this. Steph Curry is a good player, but he's also sort of a product of the way the league wants to play these days, the way the rules are geared and everything.
