I hope that we don't run Rondo off his shots so that he shreds us in the lane like we did with MCW.

If fisher finds the balls to change the starting 5, he will earn some points in my book. It is more then evident that a change is needed to solve the slow tempo/lack of spacing issues
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

You cant play fast if your stuck on the triangle every possession. Change that first

I don't think that is a triangle issue. They run the stupid triangle when its not a running opportunity.

I swear I have never seen any Phil's coached team play this slow. Was it a slow pace when Rambis ran the triangle in Minnesota????

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

You don't understand the offense if you think that the Triangle is the problem. The Triangle is just a system of BBall! The Triangle doesn't make players play slow or fast! The pace of the offense is on the players. If they slow it down then things will be slow. If they push the ball and attack things will be faster. Using the side Triangle is a choice not a hard n fast rule. They could run this system and never use the side Triangle.

They could run side Triangle and still play fast. I could show you if you really want to know.

Early on during the first five games, the flow was beautiful. Things turned bad when KO and Williams somehow found themselves in the doghouse. The rotation became a revolving door; as a result, the little On court chemistry that was built slowly dissipated
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

That's the point you don't have to do that!!! At least not early in possession or every time down. Especially if you don't have a legit post scorer. Besides there is much more to the offense! There are other sets which people don't focus on because it's harder to spot than the very obvious Side Triangle. The PG has to know how to mix things up.

The secret to the triangle is to not hold the ball for more then 4 seconds. Once you hold the ball for that long, it disrupts the flow. I blame that on the coach, Calderon, Carmelo, RoLo, and Seraphin.

Another problem is running it predictably with east/west passing and no penetration. Teams hedge hard to disrupt the timing of the passes and thus slow down the offense. I am soooo tired of watching them do the exact same DUMB things. The idea is to use defensive anticipation against them. You fake the expected pass so the defender commits and you do the opposite of what they expect. There are counters for everything.

There seems to be a lot of blame to go around. Sorry, but I am of the belief that the Coach has a lot to do with success. He should know how & when to make substitutions, when to yell, when to soothe, when to kick someone's ass, etc. Fisher's inexperience just shines through. Wish Jackson had picked someone else. There is so much about this team talent wise that I like, but they have played bad of late. It's shocking when any Knick dares to drive to the basket - wish Calderon, Galloway & Grant would do it more. Last night was a travesty. Hope the bounce back tonight. GO KNICKS!
