I just remember all the posts about how great Hinkie was and how Phil was in over his head.

I do expect deals to be made. Let's see how it goes. They have some horrible players mixed in with a few hard workers.

Perhaps Hinkie's biggest failing, more so than drafting damaged goods, is that he doesn't seem to understand the components of a successful team and how individual players mesh together in a lineup.

He's also created a perfect storm situation...

He's drafted 3 big men who cannot be on the court together, and has also failed to comprehend that delayed development, misuse of skill sets, one player's injury issues, and now a player's character issues, have devalued Noel and Embiid, and OK4, to the point that the Sixers will not get back the value they might have hoped to get back.

There is still hope for the franchise...and if Colangelo gains respect for it, brings Saric over from Europe, has a good draft, and gets rid of certain players, he should be able to get things on track again.

Hinkie's biggest downfall since taking over the job was being unlucky. The Sixers would be further ahead had they been fortunate enough to get the first overall pick in the 2014 draft, which they would have used on Andrew Wiggins. They also would have drafted D'Angelo Russell this past summer if they had the second pick.

Hinkie would have been praised for having key pieces in place with Wiggins, Russell and Nerlens Noel.

You know, if you want to make your own "luck", float Okafor by LA and they may have had a change in heart...
