Of course KP wants to be politically correct by saying "Melo is my big brother" "Melo makes everyone better, takes the pressure off" "He's the face of the Knicks" etc...Truth is, he knows it, Melo knows it, Derek knows it, Phil knows it, we know it....it's just the natural transition from the older vet star to young stud rookie. Next year is officially KP's team, and hopefully we can build around him with the right components. If somehow Melo is still with the team next year, he might better suited as 6th or 7th man, as his rapid decline is staggering. Need to get some young prime 2 way high IQ players to better complement KP's skillset for the Championship seasons (hopefully).
