Derrick Williams needs more minutes.
Langston Galloway needs less...

That would be my start to the crazy substitution patterns.

Fisher dug is another hole to climb out of...can do it with lesser teams but not the good ones.

Completely agree Fisher is terrible at substitutions. This team just doesn't have the scoring needed without Melo, KP and Afflalo. Once these guys are out of the game almost guaranteed that a hole is created for the entire team. There is no way that all three of these guys can be out of the lineup at the same time. Fisher can't do even two out at the same time.

I have done special statistical analysis that proves that when we lose games Fisher's patterns are suspect.
When we win, his patterns are pretty good!!!! Its amazing!

Its amazing but there are times when we can't hold leads, but others we have to try to come from behind!!!!!!! When we don't hold leads in the 4th quarter the bench has played well!!!!!

I wonder if the knicks ever talk about substitution patterns? Its like some of us are thinking its all in Fishers head and he don't share anything with his assistants. You know, those guys who used to help phil.

Knicks are very lucky they can read our threads and get ideas.

How else would fisher know that DWil must play exactly 25.7 minutes?

so here is what phil is thinking ....

That's how it works Nalod, did you expect any different. I watched two quarters of last nights game. I knew they were going to lose. How did I know not to watch anymore than I needed to, simple the pattern of losing keeps repeating itself. If it's not a bad team the Knicks are not winning, even if it is a bad team they are struggling. That second unit team that goes out there is slightly better than a D-league team. There simply isn't enough fire power. Fisher cannot take out all three of his scorers at the same time there has to be two in there at all times.

Im with you and understand some games are just awful to watch.
The second unit early in the season that was actually playing well and our starters who struggled. I understand the pattern is out of kilter and a challenge for our brain trust.
At the same time Dallas is playing real well these days. Did we lose or get beaten? I did not see the game last nite. Sometimes the Defense gives you something and if not executed we gonna lose.
Right now Knicks are not really good, and not really bad. In the big picture Im ok with this.

Realistically if all 3 start and all 3 finish the game how is this even possible?

Fischer is learning on the job but in fairness to him Phil hasnt provided him with ripe reserves at guard which is a roster flaw. In my dreams, Aaron is coming off the bench to relieve Beal and Calderon would be relieved by another seasoned pg. Back to reality , rookie guards and young NBDL grads have growing pains and we can only hope they develop

Different year.....New roster......Same coaching issues.

It's always going to be difficult when you have everybody learning on the job, from the GM to the coach, including the last player off the bench.

Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland. The future is bright, I'm a Knicks fan for life!
