clearly he has made a huge difference. I actually think his presence is having a bigger impact then KP to some degree. Is it ironic that once he return, calderone became more of a factor. He is a very solid defender, and the starting line up has been very consistent on both ends.

I think we have one of the most balance starting line ups in the league in terms of position, scoring, defense and intangibles. Affalo is perfect for this system, and he's a pretty smart player.

Afflalo in my opinion is a difference maker. The biggest addition of the season. Because of his presence, the backcourt has solidified at both ends of the court. It liberates Calderon from having to defend; which is not his strength, and protects the bigs from having to makeup for the backcourt' mistakes.
On offense, Afflalo is the punch and support Carmelo needed. He can make shots (ugly form or not), and his constant movement helps the triangle to take shape.

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

Say it one more time we didnt get it. afflalo does help and has hit some big shots. I do think he tends to shoot too much sometimes so he needs to find a balance

Dude, I will advise you to stop complaining about guys taking too many shots. Make or miss, teams will have to plan to stop players other then Carmelo. Now that Calderon finds his rythm on offense, it is gravy. He needs to shoot the ball more to soften the double team Carmelo is now seing.

AA is the best shooting guard the Knicks have had since Alan Houston.

He makes a huge difference... His defense is great, and his mid range is super solid

you like to complain, i dont. If you actually read my post i praised AA. However sometimes his shot selection is not good decisions...its just being honest

A huge reason why we are scoring the ball a lot more. That dude is so versatile it is insane. Last night he guarded Harden and whoever else was in the backcourt. His energy is contagious; even Calderon is making a better effort on defense

SG's need to shoot the ball. Simple

fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

He will be even better in a few weeks...easy to see that his legs and endurance are not at 100%.

They also seem to be setting a lot of picks for him to use in order to get free, and he is taking advantage of them to get open.

We would be 10-4 if he had been healthy from day 1, maybe better, IMO.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

Afflalo is an ordinary SG. Getting Vujacic off the court made a big difference. You can't win games when your starting SG shoots 28% from the field.

The starting point guard was shooting 25% for the first 6 games. The back court was an issue early on.

Ordinary - middle of the road. He has some strengths but plenty of teams have starting SGs I'd be happy to switch him for.

Yeah, Calderon and Vujacic killed the team early in the season.

he is ok for now ... lets not get crazy about him. Not gonna win big with him at the 2 unless we had a star 1.

And you know that for a fact? You do realize that a good mix of players, great coaching and luck can propel a team to win a championship? See the Warriors.
