What is this? KP against Melo? You guys better get real. It will take a team effort to win stop putting one against the other.

Its not about KP vs melo. However the knicks seem at their best when porzingis is the main focus. Thats not a knock on melo he is very important as the number 2 guy who can take over when they start doubling KP

Many Knicks fans not just this board but Knicks fans in general made it Lin vs Melo when Lin started to shine. Then went on to blame Melo for not accepting Lin even though it was Knicks fans trashing Melo on Melo's social media during Linsanity while Melo was injured.

Don't see history repeating itself here though. Melo and KP will work better then Melo and Amare or Melo and Lin or Melo, Lin & Amare due to the fact that KP impacts the game without the ball in his hands. Can put up points just going threw the motions on offense getting kick outs or pops. And now is starting to get iso touches and clear outs.

If Tyson had an offensive game and jump shot with range. A facilitating wing or forward would be ideal with this group.

The first part was touching on the thread title KP against Melo dynamic. The 2nd part was touching on why KP and Melo fit better together then the Knicks teams of the past.

Another reason why the KP vs. Melo thing won't work is the fact that KP is mentally stronger than either STAT or Lin. He doesn't play like a byotch when he's on the floor with Melo, the way Lin started to when Melo came off the injury. And he's not as selfish and stubbornly blind as STAT. It's only going to work for the drama queens who have to entertain themselves with unnecessary BS.

Melo personally said he was taking KP under his wing he's been much more willing to pass the ball than when AmaRE was here, although i also think that has a little more to do with the system.

His two best games his points have to his and the Knicks credit come within the offense. No attempt that I'm aware has been made to get him scoring opportunities for any sustained minutes.

So to educate me, can you point out what games or segments of games you're referring to?

Only people who this comparison matters to are the media guys looking to create a story, and folks around here who feel strongly about guy or the other and feel the need to prove their fav is better for some reason.

Only folks who really matter in this manufactured debate are Melo and KP, and I think they have a solid relationship, which is readily seen on the court and off it.

If KP was an a-hole this could be an issue, but he is not, and he will never say anything stupid. Even talked about each of them picking the other up game to game, in an interview.

KP is the "future" of the team at this point...Is that a surprise? So are Grant and Gallo, for that matter. It is a matter of age affecting ability as time moves on...Its not divisive, just a matter of fact that is not something which really matters in the here and now.

I was a major supporter of KP, and have been critical of Anthony in the past, but I have NEVER even considered looking at them as some kind of competitors for the soul of the team.

Please move on...Nothing to see here, folks.
