I can't remember the last coach I saw the took melo out in the clutch for a defensive swap, and all though i hate the 12 man rotation, if he's able to push the right button at the right time, he can do something special.

Great offense-defense sub by Fish.

Melo not helping us at all with no legs

I do, but still, most coaches(MDA, WOODSON) would let him hang himself, and let the defense suffer

I might think he goes with too much Calderon & not enough Grant, Gallo, O'Quinn and Williams - but I have to hand it to him - he is winning these games.

I can see Fisher improving as a coach, will be interesting to see how he does in the playoffs. Lots of good regular season coaches out there, I hope Fisher can be a good playoffs coach as well. This is where Phil having a more active role can help him prepare for a possible postseason run.

Lance,AA And KP won us the game tonight. Fisher did a hell of a job down the stretch calling plays and subbing

So far Phil hasn't actually increased his presence. He's stayed away but may just be waiting for the right time to offer for help or maybe he just feels Fish and the team needed to bond without interference. It seems to be working just the way things are.

I was very vocal about Calderon being in there last night (OKC) instead of Gallo, but the Gallo/Calderon backcourt worked well down the stretch, tonight.

I really wanted Calderon benched after the first 5 games, so I give Fisher credit for staying with him, and I give Calderon credit for stepping up and starting to make himself valuable to this team.

His outside shot has really been pure, and it looks like his pride has finally awakened. His D will never be great, but he has been better, for what it is worth.

Hell, he was actually penetrating and dishing out for 3's.

O'Quinn seems to be in the doghouse, and Williams has looked good at times, but he is a poor defensive rebounder-rarely boxes out, and a just adequate defender.

Fisher is taking guys out if they don't defend. He took KP out after those pick and pops yesterday. Took Williams out today after he failed to box out twice and we payed for it.

You don't play D and play stmart, and he is going to sit you.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

I thought Fisher did a poor job last night. Gallo only played 18 minutes and he kept Lopez in late when he should have went to KP. Tonight he did the right things though so that's good to see. He is a young coach with only one year of bench experience so it is what it is.

There was a complete article talking about how Phil hadn't changed anything in how he interacted with Fish and the team. When I get time I'll post it.

Phil Jackson not more involved with Knicks this year: Fisher
STEFAN BONDY
NEW YORK DAILY NEWS 11/17/2015 9:51 PM

Phil Jackson is not only keeping a low public profile this season, he’s also been staying away from the film room despite an earlier assertion that he’ll be “more involved.”

According to Derek Fisher, the communication between coach and team president has been “typical,” meaning conversations or emails the day after games. Jackson said in September that he “stepped back too far” last season and would be more present at the request of Fisher, specifically in postgame film sessions.

Heading into the 12th game of the season Tuesday against the Hornets, that hadn’t happened.

“Maybe a couple times earlier in training camp, we had some kind of sat down and talked about some things visually at the same time. So far, it’s our typical mornings-after-the-game conversations or email exchanges,” Fisher said. “Sometimes before practice we’ll visit for a few minutes. But not really any hardcore film sessions together. Although when those opportunities do present themselves, I’ll definitely be happy to participate.”

Jackson has not spoken to the media since the start of training camp, passing on opportunities to gloat about his decision to draft Kristaps Porzingis or comment on Fisher missing practice two days after an altercation with Matt Barnes.

Thanks, really hasn't been a need for him to become more involved as opposed to last season where Phil admitted that he "pulled too far back". It looks very good right now as far as the Knicks chances of making the playoffs, if they do make it, I really want to see Phil helping Fisher get ready. Lots of good coaches with many winning seasons who weren't successful in the playoffs. No shame in having a HOF coach and the best man on earth to ask about the playoffs, sitting right next to you when you game plan.

Lopez has his ugly moments but he doesn't go off into his own little world like Tyson used to.
