We simply can't afford to have RoLo and Calderon in the game. RoLo is a turnover machine, and Calderon is a defensive liability. We need to have KO and KP in the front court with Galloway at the point to guard the opposing PG and be a threat from the three point line.

The forth quarter meltdown needs to stop

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

I keep trying to figure out why Calderon was in there. He is a great free throw shooter but Gallo is as well. Not sure but it worked out. Not going to complain too much about a win in okc.

Robin Lopez tends to play a lot smaller than he is at times when he has the ball in his possession and he lowers his stance to a hunch.

He needs to keep the ball up high and play to his size.

Rolo was solid on D and bad on O down the stretch.

Defense overall was very good.

Offense still trying to find its way in the 4th when the opposing D tightens. Melo isos aren't the only way to go. I'd like to see more 2-man game between Melo and Afflalo or KP and Melo.

Also, Galloway needs to be closing games over Calderon.

object is to win the game. Road win @ OKC and Westbrook is a top 5 player right now. Great road win. Great gut check.

KP seemed tired today...maybe he did something like JR did and was sampling the wild OKC nightlife earlier this morning.

Part of the problem with KP is that he was too concerned with Westbrook penetrating every time he was guarded by Calderon...Ibaka hit 2 pick and pop Js, and KP was out.

Gallo seemed to have success on D when we pulled away a bit. He really should have been in there at the end.

The fact that Fisher actually put Aflalo on Westbrook tells you everything you need to know.

Also have to say that having your two 7 footers 30 ft out handling the ball is simply stupid...no other way to put it.

At the end of the game I actually have no problem at all when Melo starts an ISO about 15 ft from the hoop after gaining position, especially if the others are moving to get open. I felt that guys were too stationary at the end.

They ran a few good plays - Calderon got KP a shot just inside the foul line where he was fouled. There was a sort of side line triangle play that got Melo a wide open 12ft baseline J that he rimmed out.

And I do love posting up Afflalo down low late in the game - he could kick out to ideally KP or Galloway from there.

I think they will figure it out and they are adding a few wrinkles every game.

I think this team is sort of finding its identity and learning about how to play together. Lots of room to improve individual games and also lineups and how they mesh. Which is kind of exciting.

they expended a lot of energy on defense and honestly it looked like they took some offensive plays off while we ran some iso-Melo. I have no problem with that.

Its just a win, GOOD teams can win a variety of ways. Knicks can drop 120 on you and win. Knicks can be stifling and hold you to 90 and grind out a win that way. KP can drop 29 one night and 7 the next and both are wins. What does that tell you? That this team is pretty deep and versatile. All fantastic signs.

More to come!

Pretty sure that the defensive surge was mostly with the second unit in...outscored them 25-18 in the third.

Yup, good teams seem to win in a variety of ways, and with different guys stepping up. We saw the good LT today and Williams supplied a spark.

Houston lost at Memphis tonight, so both teams will have played the night before when they play tomorrow.

Win guarantees a road trip split.

Gut check time.

Houston is a prime target to steal a win. Knicks played some sparing minutes. Tomorrow night its time for the bench to mob it up

I am a thankful for the win, but we lost three very winnable games that could had us at 10 wins. If we can simply fix these minor issues, we could make a lot noise in the league. I see that KO finally got some minutes today and that is definitely a plus. If he can manage to take RoLo's minutes at the end of games, and Galloway could take Calderon's spot in the last three minutes of the games; we could be a much more formidable squad

Oh really? Interesting.

I'd love to beat Houston. I dislike that team.

Knicks defensive stats - think this is before tonight's game, which will only improve the stats:

7th in the league in opponents FG%

1st in the league in opponents 3pt fg%

5th in the league in opponents adjusted fg%

8th in the league in opponents points per game

8th in the league in rebound differential

That's just NBA basketball.

Marcro view... any team who loses a game that is close in the 4th Q can point out execution issues that if didn't occur 'they should have won'.

Nobody would ever lose a game of this was always correctable.

EVERY team has games they want back, including teams who have lost to the Knicks.

It's just basketball.

Knicks are strong in the paint and it's by design. After years of being abused it feels good to have a strong interior. Knicks are strong at SF, PF and C!!!
