this could be another Mark Blount. hes a true 7 footer from ball state who was drafted in i believe 01 by the Nets. he is 24 years old 7-0 250. i only caught snipets from the SL highlights but when he has gotten the PT the last two games he is averaging 15.5 points 15.5 rebounds 5 blocks in 34 minutes. this is a guy who i would steal right now and offer a 1 year guaranteed contract with a team option. Dallas did the same with a guy who hasnt played nearly as well. We need 7 footers BADLY and this guy is doing it against Dwight Howard the number 1 pick in the draft.

As awesome as he might be, I have a feeling this kid is probably waaaaaaaaaaay off Isiahs radar. Especially with all the focus on the Crawfords and Dampiers now. I would love to sign him to a deal like you mentioned though. Can't hurt giving him a shot.

the only way you find an anthony mason, a john starks, a mark blount is by being aggresive and giving the players a chance. all players should be on our radar --this is not a good team and we are in a conference with three real big time heavyweights we have no chance to match up with. we need to build a staple of our own assets just as much as acquiring them through trade.

briggs, i agree with what you're saying EXCEPT when you say that this is not a good team. this is not a championship level team, but i still think we're going to be good next season.

Dude, get real, ceners don't grow in trees, this guy is prolly a total stiff if he is never been heard of before. They go all the way to like sophomore year of HIHGSCHOOl, so guys don't just slip throughthe cracks at 7 feet.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Sounds good. I remember that at some point last season some fans where mentioning that we should go after a guy named DeMarr Johnson because he was playing very nice on another team and that he still had a lot of potential. Many thought the Knicks weren't really paying attention to that and that they would probably not do that. Turns out they did and it was good. Maybe it can happen if this guy keeps impressing people. But it may depend on how well we can do on trades. If we can at least make one of the trades that have been proposed we may have some roster spots to sign players with potential from the SL.

Have you find a scouting report on him, BRIGGS?

Yeah, and that guy from Africa will not get of the IL, or at best he'll get to ware a nice warmups with a Dallas logo on it and seat on the floor on the end of the bench. Maybe get in on a blowout or two.

Brad Miller was an undrafted FA... he's turned out to be pretty good. Same with Ben Wallace. I'm with Rip.. the problem is roster spots. We can certainly afford to take a million dollar risk for the upside of one of those guys.. the problem is we have no where to put them.
