what????? he was wide open!

If I remember correctly there were only like 2 seconds left. A 24 second violation right there would've been a momentum killer for sure.

no there were 4 seconds left, i believe.

you want him to pass up a wide open 15 footer? you are way off there.

he rushed that shot when he actually had time to put it on the floor and draw a foul.

and there weren't 4 seconds left on the clock of that grant desperation pass there were 5 SECONDS LEFT.

maybe he rushed because he lost track but you don't pass up a wide open shot like that with not a defender around. Hit the open J

Fisher simply can't play Seraphin with either Lopez nor KO together. The paint is too crowded when that combo is on the court and it is a turnover waiting to happen

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

Type of game that bad teams always find a way to lose.

How great would it be if Seraphin found his groove this game and it carries over. For the most part he played a smart game on both ends. Great accomplishment for a guy going through what he is going through at this point.

Fish has been trying to give Seraphin a chance to get going. It paid off today. This is a game he should look to duplicate. He passed well, defended, bounded and scored inside! This is what the team needs from him!

Up to me, Jose and Gallo start. Afflalo is just not as good as Gallo even when he will be at full strength (IMHO)

I think either of those two combinations works well enough at this point. I don't see how one would be THAT much better over the other, at least when it comes to starting the games. Finishing the games is a different matter.

agree but I am just not a big afflalo fan.

People giving Melo a hard time - he was great today:

29 pts
13 rebs
3 ast
1 stl
11-21FG
6-7FT

That does seem to be the case.

I agree but Jose has looked great with AA beside him. Maybe that is just Jose coming around on his own. I do feel that Afflalo will bring a great dimension offensively once he shakes off the rust. He missed so much basketball it will take time. Defensively I think Afflalo is better guarding 3s and can no longer hand with 2s but he is an upgrade over Sasha.

a guy who has played 30 thousand minutes should be able to "feel" or intuit how much time is left. this may be a case where another player's hysteria infected melo.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Seraphin has better offensive moves than both players..

Fish the last few games have been giving all the bigs off the bench a few minutes to see who has it and who does not. I like this approach. I just hope he would do the same thing with LT. Last game it was Lou and this game Seraphin had it. Next game it might be KOQ with the hot hand.

Hope Fisher realizes how much better Melo looks at the 4.

Biggest take away for me this game was the lineups with Melo at the 4. Melo at the 4, KP at 5 or Melo at 4, Seraphin at 5 - both looked great.

agreed, I was amazed at how willingly he was to force feed KS in the 4th. He then got easy shots off KS post play.

it worked against the lineup that NO was putting out there. Does not always make sense. That is also why Rolo could not match up today.

STRETCH FUKKING 4'S ARE NIGHTMARE MATCHUPS FOR NON STRETCH 4'S

The team does have an Analytics staff to point out these kinds of things. I think it's an underrated part of the organization. I think in time it will have an impact on rotation decisions but people have to realize that they have to actually play games and different player combos in order to have Stats to compare. That's why we see so many players. How else will they know which works best?
