Um, did you watch the game? It was Galloway who was repeatedly embarrassed by Williams. Gallo's worst defensive performance of the season. Don't know why Williams had his number, but he did.

Old man Williams did most of his work when others were defending him in the second half.

Yes Galloway was not good but we were +1 with him. -12 Calderon. Worst on the team.

To me that is an example of stats being misleading. Calderón was not great, but he hit a few big shots at key moments and ran the offense decently. Gallo, and I like him a lot, was a big liability on the defense last night. He didn't have a horrible game overall because he competes and does other things, but Williams specifically seemed to salivate at having Gallo on him. He discarded Gallo and scored on him at will all night long. I don't think either Gallo or Calderón lost us the game last night, but I was surprised at Gallo's incompetence vs. this particular opponent. I think the coaches need to inject that little extra strategic something to help the players get over the hump at this point, make things easier for them down the stretch by having some clear plays and options on both ends of the floor so whatever unit is out there can begin to execute with precision and with a clear idea of how to get it done. Leadership from the bench (coaches) needs to push the closing unit past the threshold in order to pull out games like the one last night.

The offensive will continue to struggle to gel and we will continue to lose these close games until we end games with a true PG who can get to the rim and create for himself and others

Nothing we can do about Hose-A until he inevitably gets hurt.

Fisher trusts him for some odd reason (Hose-A has dick pics of Fish?) and until he's on IR he'll play 20-25 minutes of meaningless non impactful net negative ball. Even if Hose-A goes "off" for 12 points, his man will always go off for 20+ and draw endless fouls on our bigs due to old man's disease.

We just gotta wait it out til he breaks his hip slipping on his own prune juice after shytting in his adult diapers.

I agree in geneal Jose's D is terrible. However, I think it is unfair to blame Jose for Mo scoring. Have you seen Mo this year? Dude is filing in for Kyrie just fine. He just scored something like 29pts on a perfect to almost perfect shooting night. I just think he is the perfect PG to play beside Lebron.

He's been playing quite well this year. Guy makes a tough shot-you just have to give him credit. Its never just 1/1 anyway with guards, anyway, they are always getting help with picks, and there are other players on D who have to help out.

Lebron is essentially the PG-Williams just has to score, for the most part, and he's been doing it against many teams so far.

Fisher has been jerking his minutes for the last few games for some reason...

+/- didn't tell the story. Calderon busted his ass on defense and looked solid. Galloway was at fault that game.

I'm not ready to blame it all on Fish- Williams and o'quinn both struggled to get big mins on their former teams, so there may be some issues we are unaware of.

Looks like O'Quinn had an off game last night.

But Williams has shown talent in the pre season and early on - then he's gone.

I just feel like Fisher should be getting better play out of him. He's shown the ability to score, and at times, we struggle. I'm all for giving Melo time to shoot through a slump- though not when his shot selection is stupid. But it seems that Derrick is judged differently.

Can't we look at all the players though and expect better from DWill?

Lance has been balling and earning his minutes on both sides of the court. shooting 51% overall and 46% from 3point land. And playing very good D.

What has DWill done to EARN time.

I thought D. Will was okay last night. He did not score well but he grab 7 rebs, 2 stls, 1 blk, and drew a charge against Love. I thought he had a pretty good defensive night overall.

I wasn't paying enough attention to DWill's defense but I did notice that both Lou and Lance were playing VERY good defense. Lance made both Williams and LeBron work hard.

Williams is not known for team D and his offense suffered last night.

I didn't have a problem with Lance or Lou playing but I think Lance has lost his in bounds privileges. D. Will needs time because despite his problems he is a foul magnet.

coach fisher wants his players to play as a unit, or learn to play as a unit. williams needs to be brought along slowly so that he learns how to play with four other players as part of a unit. lance thomas already does that. ten games in and 15 more until we should start upbraiding fisher for what he is going on with his team. "playing as a unit" is the goal here.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%
