He could have shot over Marvin Williams all game long or pass out of the post or have Rolo set a pick to get KP open ft line extended

I agree. Please run the offense through KP. Even as a decoy.

He's a willing Passer and won't ball hog like that dumb fuq Melo.

That ship has sailed. Dude is averaging close to 17 FGAs a game per 36. Also, against players like Williams he should be force fed. unfortunately, the 2nd unit went away from the low post feeds in the triangle to work Grant PnRs at top. Then when Porzingis did get the ball he turned the ball over and missed some shots.

it's a process.

Kp needs to make kp the focus.

He got the ball a Couple of times and didn't look to shoot when he was open and turned the ball Over when he posted.

Other than some miserable turnovers we win this game by 10.

Nothing to change.

Let's go Knicks. That's amare

I see growth. KP will get more comfortable and confident as he plays. In time his teammates will realize he's a primary option and treat him that way. It takes time. They're letting it happen naturally.

He's already taking 16 shots per 36 at a low percentage and his assist:TO ratio isn't great. I think all of that will get a lot better with time and think he can be a franchise player but he doesn't need a bigger role right now. The most exciting thing is he's averaging 13 boards per 36 min. His blocks and steals are good too. Overall he's way better as a rookie than I expected but a bigger role to a guy hitting 39% and averaging 1 assist, 3 TOs per 36 min will probably hurt us in terms of wins and losses and hurt his development.

Yea that's exactly right Bonn but he was finally breaking through with his jumpshot yesterday in the 1st quarter and then thry forgot to go to him for the remaining 3 quarters of the game. Could've gotten us an easy win while boosting his confidence after the first monster game of his career. Even after getting shut out of the offense and sitting too long in the 4th he still had the courage to take that last 3 and drain it. He is fearless. I'm not too worried of stunting his development. Seems to be the rare young superstar talent who can handle the pressure of increased responsibility and expectations without wilting under all of it

The kid can play, but the media need to back off that youngster. Let the kid play and develop without anointing him as the Savior
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

This was upsetting to me too. He was hot and after his first quarter we should have kept feeding him the ball he would of had his first career game. I feel that KP could easily be putting up towns like numbers . He's just as talented

Part of it is KP needs to be more assertive, which is hard for a rookie to do. If they're not going to him he needs to demand it.

Are you requesting that the sports media, specifically the NY sports media, be smart and non-overly-dramatic? Good luck with that.

That's kind of what I saw last night as well. But this kid is definitely exceeding expectations big time nonetheless.
