I'm fine with it. I see they're trying to bring him along slowly, as hammy's are one of the injuries that reoccur the most in sports along with ankle sprains.

Better to be at 100% so we can play him lots of minutes to take away from Sasha and Hose-A. Just will be frustrating watching the dynamic duo until that happens...

I doubt its wise to bring him in the front of a back to back road game if you trying to install him to the rotation.
So it makes sense to NOT play him.

keep him out a couple more games. we are right around the .500 mark with a tough schedule and he's too important as our second scorer to have him miss extended time rushing him back

They might have already done that. You can always says "couple more games" from whenever he's due back. They might already have been cautious and conservative.

Fisher basically said he didn't want to bring him back right into a back to back situation. He wants him to start tomorrow and be able to play real minutes.

I think tonight will be rough, but tomorrow night could be a lot of fun.

Afflalo is so needed in this offense. Can't wait to see him back.

I believe this franchise is cursed. There isn't a FA that has ever made an impact to this team since Dolan has taken control. We give up big money for no production what so ever. I hope AA is different.
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

Stat made a HUGE impact his first year. He was in the MVP conversation most of his first year.

JR Smith won a 6MoY award.

Langston Galloway was signed as a free agent.

Knicks had a good record and Amare was leading the league in 4th qtr scoring. Bad pairing with Melo, but yes.. STAT.

We have had 3 chances in the last 15ish years to sign FAs.

First time we gave Houston $100mm and that used all our cap space.
Second time was when we signed Amare
Third time was Lopez, KOQ and AA rather than one big fish. Based on the contracts given out I would say the Knicks did very well this offseason.

Seriously. I qualified what I was referring to specifically. Before Melo came MSG fans chanted 'M-V-P' while he was at the free-throw line.

Things went south, but he was credited for putting the Knicks on his back that first 2/3's of that first year.

The Garden also chanted M-V-P when Kobe was dropping 61 on the Knicks neck a few years ago, as well as, when he was getting his ass kicked by the Knicks on Sunday. So take what you will of the MVP chants with a grain of salt.

Context is everything. In the case of pre-Melo Stat, he WAS in the MVP conversation and had the the very legitimate immediate impact of making the Knicks into a postseason qualifier.

Any retort to that?

No.

Got it.

AA is here to help us contend this year. What good will it be if he starts playing when we're already out of contention?

You're going to have to explain to be the appeal or value in denying accurate statements.

Stat was widely regarded as being in the MVP conversation at the time I cited.

Ahh the January MVP vote! Almost forgot they give them out then.

Guess he must've fell off a cliff right after!
