Guard/forward Shane Battier signed a six-year extension with the Grizzlies on Thursday. Terms were not disclosed. "His attributes both on and off the court epitomize what we as an organization value and look for from our players," president Jerry West released in a statement to the Associated Press. Battier averaged 8.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.3 steals in 79 games last season.

Their payroll seems to be heavier and heavier by the days.

can they afford to match if we offer the MLE to swift since he plays 20 min a night ?

I hope they don't if we do make him an offer. We should definitely go after him with the MLE right now. Its still so strange that no article has mentioned him this offseason...
