Terrible coaching tonight, the entire coaching staff. The rotation was brutal, calderon should have never played in the 2nd half, no one could get into a rhythm once the bodies started going in and out every 4 minutes.

There absolute no reason whats so ever to play 11 guys in the first 9 minutes of a game when your up 10/12 points.

12 rebounds for melo, the next player close to that had 4.

We look exactly like we did last year after the 1st qtr. When KP got into foul trouble, he subbed in for quin and proceeded to play him 2 minutes, then sent him back to the bench for dwill IN THE FIRST QUARTER ( a sub coming in for a sub) wtf

ZERO FAST BREAK POINTS...MELO,LOPEZ, QUINN, seraphin, all held the ball for 5 or more seconds every single time

Yup, that was pretty glaring. Lots of layups, jumpers were in and out of the rim as well. They were also playing halfcourt ball, and small ball at the same time.

I doubt Lopez plays this badly over the course of the season.

Yep that's what happens when your starting pg is afraid to run and stops the transition at the three point line ... Why oh why is Jose on this team it's the only thing that Phil has done that I funking hate... Jose has cursed us

Squarely on Fish. Bad subs, didn't make adjustments, should've inserted KP earlier.

Should've pushed it repeatedly with Shump and JR out.

Knicks had a lead and if Melo was playing better it was headed for a blowout sized lead. I know after a loss it's easy to pick apart all the moves but this team had the Cavs on the ropes but couldn't land the knockout blow. They still have inconsistent execution as well.

On top of that you have Jose el matador and Sasha instead of Afflalo and there you go.

Uany first half criticism is moot. We were up by more than ten. That alone negates all criticisms.

Fisher is to blame. Calderon has been stealing minutes and a boat load of money since we acquired him. It is time to erase the mistake we made by trading Chandler
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

It's game FIVE!!! Fish and Phil are going to be reasonable about the start of this season. It's gonna be rough for a while. No Afflalo and a slumping Melo together with Jose is gonna look ugly. They also want to bring the kids along at their own pace rather than thrust them into a bigger role right away. Gotta keep some perspective about this team's development. It's not just about W/L's right now.

They're going to be using a deep rotation this year and we have some guys who are struggling early in the season. This isn't a time tested team where all roles are clear. They will try some things out early in the season. Expect some experimentation early in the season.

The last 2 losses the offense ground to a halt and a large part of that is Melo n Jose. Jose is slowing the offense down as is Melo. There are also times when everyone on the team forgets to stay aggressive and to keep up the ball n player movement! The offense gets stagnant and predictable. Since Jose can't beat his man they need to run more Drag Screens when he's in there rather than looking to immediately get the ball to Melo in the post at the expense of the ball n player movement!!!

HAWKS, SPURS and CAVS is a pretty tough set of losses early in the season with a new team and other issues for this Knicks team. To put the losses on the rotation is to really lose sight of what's going on. Knicks would have to play near perfect against those teams on most nights. Let's keep that in perspective too.

Yeah, I would have to agree with this. It's hard to get a good look at your experiment if you're only giving guys 4 or 5 minutes at a time. I'm all for trying different line-ups, especially coming off the bench, during the earlier part of the season, but you have to give guys time to get a rhythm going.

This is now 2 games in a row with 0 fast break points. Personally I don't think it played THAT big of a role in the loss in and of itself, but it is something they should address right now.

Why would you want fast break points when its so much more exciting to watch Jose walk the ball up and then run almost every play through Lopez, who should never touch the ball except for rebounds and blocks?
