Came across this Tweet. Did not see the actual game myself.

I know some were upset with the refs in our SA game. Seeing Augustine get away with this really makes you question what refs are seeing or thinking as they officiate a game. If a violation like this is not called, you have to question any call made or not made by NBA refs..

Not even sure how a player's instincts allow him to do something like this.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

Both refs are blinded for a second, so it appears as if he took a dribble in between his walk. Watch both refs and you will see....The top ref is blinded by two players, with one player jumping after he took two steps.....Not knowing he was going to take 2 more steps.....(LMAO). The bottom ref is shielded by the players backside, and probably thought the top ref would make the call since he had a better view.....Eitherway, it's a bad no call, and it only happens in the NBA. Even at my little kids game, where they let everything slide, because they are kids......They would call travel easy on this play. Also, try not to look at his legs.....His upper body almost looks like a normal layup. He took two quick steps after two long steps.....These refs should be fined.

Bottom ref might have been looking at Lawson going up to try to disrupt the shot or pass.

Funny thing is that Lawson knew that Augustine would have to give up the ball one way or another- by pass or by shot, and he figured he could go into the air without getting beaten to the basket.

I guess he was unaware of the new 5 step rule when going to the basket.
