kp's floor impact is terrific. if this keeps up he is likely going to be the best draftee since ewing. most impressive is that he's a quick study defensively. he thwarts virtually every defensive assignment he faces, learning and adapting immediately. he is an athlete who happens to play basketball. when the game slows down for him on offense and he picks up some footwork and finesse shots he is going to be an all-star. i see garnett-like levels in him potentially. is it too soon to say he's a warrior?
fisher: i love this guy's postgame panache. what a contrast to woodson. the impression i got is that his biggest challenge will be corralling and not kowtowing to melo, getting him to play smarter and less selfishly. this came through crystal clear in his postgame interview... at least on the radio it did. i think he has the making of a great coach. so smart, so insightful, so media-savvy. meanwhile melo, wake the fukk up: leonard is guarding you dude, you need to have more than two assists.
i have figured out the perfect analogy for carmelo: he has no counterpunching ability whatsoever.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%
