If I was kp I'd be watching tape of how Towns used his size to dominate the game inside. Towns is a much stronger guy but he has a better 3 pt shot than kp and only shot 12 feet and in from the several views I watched. It's pretty simple too Karl towns can dominate the nba inside no one will stop it

I don't get why all the media were calling Okafor for rookie of the year, if it's going to be a front court player, it's going to be Towns- he can score, block, defend, steal, pass, rebound, and plays with an actual point guard.

Why you gotta pour salt in an open wound Briggs. At least we won those final 2 games to bring our win total to 17

KP was still the 2nd best option for us though. Over OK4, Russell, Mudiay, Winslow & Stein. Hopefully KP becomes a player he league has never seen at 7'3. Towns is clearly further along in development and already has an NBA body to bang. I really really really wanted Towns in New York for the next 15+ years. It really sucks not to have our very own Anthony Davis with better range

Close your eyes and invision KP getting stronger and adapting to the physical play of US basketball. Now think about how a skinny KP was able to defend OK4, when all of the other US born college centers couldn't handle him.

I wanted Towns just like others, but KP has the potential to be the best player in this draft. I believe this draft will have more than one best player.....So it was a win win. Those extra 2 games we won, gave Fisher the confidence to tweek the triangle and produce more wins this season. Plus we received KP and Grant. In ten years, this conversation will look foolish. Both players will become great NBA players, and Grant could be better than both.

Kristaps is averaging 13pts 6 rebs, 2 steals, 1 block in 24 mins after 2 games. All this and he's supposedly not fully developed.

In case anyone missed it, this is just another in the series of numerous Briggs threads concerning his crusade to not have KP do anything on the court outside of 15 feet from the rim.

The tell tale was that "Towns is a better 3 Point Shooter than KP" yet does not take any shots beyond 12 Feet. At this point there is really no way to know if KP is a lesser 3 point shooter in the NBA given the relatively small amount of Data.

Knick fans wouldn't be themselves if they didn't regret their own draft pick. It's a well known fact....

Yea KP has a smoother jumper. But do we really know what KP's game is going to look like. He needs a signature move, I like that turn around jumper he pulled a few games ago . I'd like to see him get more touches before comparing him to towns.

I want to appreciate the guy we have. I think Towns belongs in Minnesota. KP is where he should be. I can admire Towns when I pick him every night on Draft Kings, but I'm not going to be the guy that says "our guy is good but I wish we could of drafted that other guy. Damn you Isiah!"

enyspree I like our player. I hope he plays like Towns did last night. Incredibly efficient post to mid range game dominating rebounding and defense--it was a throw back and he was incredible

2 games in and we can label guys? Suggest a "signature move"?

I like the steal and "earl the pearl" spin move sending Ronnie Milsaps into the 2nd row and KP in the easy 360 windmill dunk!

Didn't you want OK4 and Russell before Towns?

Thought it was funny when folks were touting OK4, Johnson, Mudiay, Turner, and "steal of the draft" Winslow for ROY honors and seemed to completely forget about Towns for some reason.

Has an all around game...can score inside or out, play some D, and he is physically ahead of most of this year's rookie crew.

Also intelligent and pretty down to earth as a person. No BS on the court, either. Pretty much like KP,actually.

Saw him out perform Monroe in his final pre-season game, and posted about it. Kid is just a solid all around player.

Glad they put him at the 5. I remember that some around here thought he should be a PF- that would have been a mistake, IMO.

Have watched 2 games just to see him play and evaluate him, and have not been disappointed so far.

Not unhappy with what we got, though. Kristaps was probably the most immature player in terms of physical maturity coming out of this draft, yet you already see him holding his own and looking amazingly fluid for a man his size.

Only going to get better.

EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

I have Towns on my fantasy team so I am reaping the benefits of his success. KP is doing everything within his current skill set and within the offense. He has crashed the boards plenty, rim protected, played the passing lanes, posted up and spaced the floor.

KP has only shot 3s when left open. He only goes to the 3 pt line after he sets screens to open up other players. He isn't just standing around at the 3 pt line waiting for a kick out. He is active away from the ball setting screens to free up other players. Opponents have to choose if they want to guard the paint or cone out to guard KP. He does enough srap work to be okay with any 3s he takes especially when they are open.

You used the word regretting above. Nobody is saying anything about that. My thing is our guy is Kristaps and the kid can play and he fits with what we want to do. Towns is a Timberwolve... I'll admire him on draft kings. Knicks all day.

Did I miss something? KP shot 36% from three in Europe last year. Towns shot 25 % in college. How can you say towns is a better 3 point shooter?
