Jamal Crawford is definitely not gonna be a Knick now.

He's gonna be a Clipper or a Sun, depending on what LA decides to do either match Richardson or not, now that they have no Kobe. Its too late we went way too slow.

Thanks for taking out your crystal ball; it's a good thing I don't listen to fans who claim to *know* what will happen

No need to be such a pessimist. Jamal has said that he really wants to be a Knick, so if that is true, then he and his agent can keep pressuring Chicago to make a trade with us. Maybe if Jamal decides to take a little less money then we can do a deal without Dikembe. Plus, Isiah and Paxson are just playing poker, I think one of them will give in eventually. Isiah is just trying to see what he can get for Mutombo.

I would think they would match Richardson over the problem-child.. Crawford. LA already needs a point guard that will distribute the ball... not crawford. It could go several different ways.

CHicago wants expiring contracts, not equal value, and they want teams to take on bad contracts, so that eliminates LAC since they aren't going to take anything on.

Phoenix has 2 expiring contracts, totalling only a bit more than a million.

I don't see either team throwing Crawford a ton of money, but we'll have to see. It won't be via sign-and-trade though, and even if he's offered a big contract, the Knicks could say they'll trade for him and have the Bulls match it.

I would say its far from done.

there has been only 1 team that has been willing to offer Jamal more than the MLE--that is the Knicks. He turned down 6 years 40mm from the Bulls this week. He is being valued in the same market as marquis daniels and brent barry--same money and i think thats fair.

Yeah, LA would keep their own player before going after a "problem child." If LA does match Q's offer, Pheonix might go after Jamal, but I doubt they'll offer him more than the 6 yr 55 mil offer that the Knicks/Bulls had on the table at one point (which did not involve Mutombo or Norris going to Chicago)

It's the first week of free agency; it's not too late; you're just too impatient

If that happened, the Knicks would tell the Bulls to match and they'd work something out.

How can anyone say that anything, which is really a guess, is definite? Sheesh.

Some people like to think they know more than they do; obviously none of us here can know for sure where the remaining FAs will end up, even though some people claim to know where they'll go. It is laughable, though, when they claim to know what will happen. I bet Jamal doesn't even know where he'll be next season, even though Flex thinks he knows where Jamal will be (or one of two places he'll be)

My favorite is when some one "has a feeling that....." or "and if that don't work, throw Frank in".

Even Isiah said that this is a process that can continue until October, so there is a lot of time to make a lot of things. We haven't made a deal yet? Fine! There is still time. Its not like the free agent and trading period lasts only 2 days. People who don't have patience are destined to make terrible mistakes. Terrible moves that we will regret for a long time. Isiah is doing the best by exploring each one of his chances. There is no need to hurry. Relax!
