EXACTLY what I said the other day -

Ten days ago, the Pistons' Chucky Atkins beat the Knicks on a late trey. Chaney said it was "a missed assignment."

Chaney said one of the Knicks' problems on defense is they are not vocal enough to let teammates know what they're doing. That's where they miss the retired Larry Johnson.

MARCUS CAMBY INJURY UPDATE -

Marcus Camby has grabbed 22 and 21 rebounds, respectively, the past two games and is averaging 14.6 per despite pain in his foot. That would be a league high if he played enough games.

Camby says he enjoys Chaney's emphasis on running.

"We all wanted to play at a faster pace ever since I got here," Camby said. "Now we're getting the opportunity and we've got to take advantage."

-----

CAMBY is playing injured. Hopefully he can cut down his minutes and sit down soon, once Spoon returns, as clarence is cleared to do running drills this thursday.

We definetly miss LJ's leadership and will to win, but for what it's worth, we don't miss his play. This is where Clarence Weatherspoon comes in, who provides much more then Johnson and is the same type player. Once Weatherspoon returns we will see another improvement in the team because we have yet to play one game entirely healthy. Maybe LJ should eventually join the coaching staff.
