Tyler Hansbrough is my favorite NBA player. Whether it was Indiana, Toronto, or now Charlotte, I try my best to watch all the games that I can in which he plays. Why? The guy is the best comedy act on TV. He is a wrecking ball. He is literally the most entertaining thing on Earth.

1. those LSD eyes. He walks around on the court with his eyes wide as can be and with a stoned look that even Cheech and Chong would laugh at.

2. Watch when Hansbrough gets onto the court for his shift. Sooner or later bodies are falling and scrambling and laying all over the court. No joke. I watch the games with friends and as soon as Hansbrough comes in I say, "Watch for the bodies on the floor." Sure enough, in a matter of moments the court looks like a Civil War battlefield. The guy is a one man doomsday machine.

3. The guy is always stirring things up. Him with Metta Peace a few seasons ago and just last Saturday in the exhibition game against us. Hansbrough is playing with wads of cotton in each nostril, getting timeouts called just as he is shooting a free throw (even Fisher was highly entertained by Hansbrough's reaction)...Hansbrough played the entire fourth quarter of that game and it was the most entertaining quarter in NBA history.

Now what I need from you is an explanation. I don't watch college ball. I go to a round or two of the Big East tournament and that is all I ever see. Now everyone tells me Hansbrough was a big time player. One of the best. Breen the other night said he was a four time first team All American! Led North Carolina in scoring and rebounding four straight years! That is beyond astonishing.

Well, what happened to the guy? How can someone with that pedigree and ability become almost a journeyman and nothing more than an entertainer in the NBA? I see flashes of talent, but his background is that of an all-time great college player. Explanations?

he's just another tweener who doesn't have what it take to make the transition "down" one position. at least he brings more than beasley and costs a lot less.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

He's a banger, one dimensional, nothing else. Like a taller crazier Lou Amundson. Doesn't stretch the floor, no finesse, doesn't have David Lee type skills, doesn't have Demarcus Cousins type posting, doesn't have Blake's explosiveness.

He's called Psycho T for a reason.

Tyler's entertaining, but my personal favorite is JaVale McGee. Most entertaining of all time. He will be a legend. And I'm typing this with a straight face.

Man, I am going to be blunt here: you guys just don't follow basketball, do you?

Uhh, the story of that Hansbrough/Artest encounter is what Metta said about Hansbrough after that incident:

“I love guys like Hansbrough. I need that physical action. The game has changed so much. Now we got all these Mr. Softees. You know Mr. Softee in New York? . . . A lot of basketball players are made right from the Mr. Softee ice cream cone truck. . . . I like Mr. Softee. I don’t like to play basketball with Mr. Softee. Tyler Hansbrough is a tough kid. I would play on Tyler’s team anyday.”

Now that the facts of that incident have been set down, let's continue.
