OK, no for all of those who bitched and moaned that Phil didn't do his best to keep Ndour, who would you cut today to replace with Maurice?

For good measure, here is 4 preseason stat lines: http://espn.go.com/nba/player/gamelog/_/id/3063982/maurice-daly-ndour. 2-13 from 3point land, not too many rebounds, averaged about 22 minutes across 4 preseason games.

6'9" SF who is too slow? 6'9" PF on a roster with an abundance of guys who can play PF already?

What you got?

Bring back N'Dour. If he played like before, the Knicks would have one hell of a bench. Talk about high octane. He's also a great team player, and would fit right in with this roster.

inconceivable that NDour would get cut. Its hard to image why he doesn't have a 4 year deal yet if you were to listen to what some posters who honestly thought our failure to sign this guy over Lance Thomas clearly displayed why Phil Jackson was a terrible GM, etc. etc.

We don't need him. We have enough guys already ahead of him. I would still take Ledo before NDour if I had a roster spot

With Seraphin out you are down to 2 big bodies: Rolo, KOQ. Both of those guys will miss like 10 games this year, you would be really thin at C

Not everyone who was against letting N'Dour go thought it was confirmation that Phil was a bad exec. I loved N'Dour's energy, his doing the little things, and if you listened to the guy in the post game interview while he was here you would see someone who would be great chemistry wise.

What does NDour do that Early does not?

We have KP as well who can play either PF or center. We could lose players at F as well. As I said in another post, I believe N'Dour would add something beyond his stats. Very positive individual who I believe would be good to have around when things go south. Im not convinced Seraphin can stay healthy.

Early hasn't been able to stay healthy since turning pro, N'Dour would be good insurance if we can get him cheap. Thats also provided he plays like he did his last time around. He might do better in this offense the way DWill has.

I honestly dont care what he's done for the Mavs, but rather what he did for the Knicks. He played well here and I'd instantly want him back if he became available. Why wouldnt I want a guy back who played well? Looking at a few preseason games in a totally different system means nothing.

If he doesn't get other NBA interest, I'd at least want to offer him a spot at Westchester.

I'm wondering how the team is feeling about Thanasis right now?

Honestly, the guy on the roster I have the least interest in is Lance Thomas, but I don't think he's going anywhere.

There's no way I'm giving up on Cleanthony Early, btw. How can folks suggest that? The work he's put in is obvious. I look for him to have an impact this season - he'll have to earn minutes and maybe get some opportunity through injury, but I think both things are likely.

Also, I don't N'Dour's game and Early's game are remotely similar. I think O'Quinn gives this team a lot of what people liked from N'Dour in Summer League, with the bonus that o'Quinn is not remotely undersized and N'Dour is a little undersized for the 4/5 he was playing in SL.

Shouldn't we sign him to our d league. It gives him lots of playing time instead of rotting on our bench. And then bring him up when the time is right or injury call up... As much as I like ndour he needs work ... He'd make a really nice piece in the Knicks d league

Knicks supposedly did want to sign N'Dour after Summer League and were supposedly surprised at the Mavs offer. I wonder if they'll reach out now?

Of course, he actually has to be cut first.

I think that ship may have sailed. Perhaps they might consider adding Ndour to the D League team if he isn't picked up. I see no way he could possibly be added to the actual roster over any of the guys we have at this point. The only real spot left is Thanasis and I think he'll make it.
