It wasn't on TV, and I don't think it's going to be, which stinks.

It looks like Sweetney didn't really get a lot of plays calling for him, something which happened a lot the first few games. The good thing is he hit a high percentage of shots and made his FTs.

I wonder who guarded Josh Howard (I assume it was Ariza), since he had been playing very well and didn't play well last game.

Trybanski had another pathetic game.

Strange to see both Sweetney and Ariza having low games.

Well neither of them took that many shots, but by the boxscore both of them still look like they were both efficient. At least Demarr is starting to play some ball...

Johnson had 6 turnovers in 25 minutes. That's not a good sign.

Summer league is sloppy play to start with - no one has played together - its hard to tell from the box score whether the turnovers were pass attempts that team mates should have expected / caught or if they were out of control moves with no plan of where to pass when move was started.

DeMarr can score- he's got a nice touch and the knicks right now don't have any pure shooters- Allan is but he's hurt- TT is a mystery, Marbury is a bit streaky and KT needs to be set up.

Unless there is some offensive talent added to this team, I'd expect DeMarr to make the team.

DeMarr was horrible shooting the ball in the first two games so if it is for his shooting he has yet to impress. With Ariza almost sure to make the team, it depends on our transactions if he is going to have a spot with the Knicks.

I agree; DerMarr has some strengths, but his shooting as a Knick (both in the NBA and in the summer league) has not impressed me. I'd add Ariza to the roster and if there's room for only one more player from the summer league who's not currently on the Knick roster, I'd add a PF/C. (It doesn't have to be one who is currently on the Knicks summer league team.) If there are more open roster spots, I might keep DerMarr, though.

DeMarr dropping 20 in summer league means nothing to me because of how terrible he played in the previous games. DeMarr looked like he shouldn't be in the league the last two games.

Ariza was the best player on the court for two straight games showing signs in all aspects of the game.

He was 1-4 in 30 minutes? Doesn't seem like he was getting the shots. I doubt anyone shut him down cuz like someone said he was still effective in other areas according to the boxscore.

I hate talking about a game I didn't see.

DeMarr is a bum.....I doubt all of a sudden he would take over a game the way Ariza did the last two games. Demarr shows no determination, skill or intelligence on the court to deserve a roster spot.

Still would have liked to see the game......20pts is still 20pts.

Would you chill out bout Demarr. You are allowed to have bad day you know. How about we wate for more then 3 summere league games before evaluating what we got? Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I really don't think that 3 summer league games determine who stays and who goes. At least wate till the preseason. Demarr and Ariza should at least be on that team. Then make the final cuts. These guys arent even in game shape yet. So lets just wate.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

I love how the DerMarr supporters are making it sound like we're judging him on one game when we're actually judging him on how he played for the entire 2nd half of the season with the knicks plus the summer league

He shoed great flashes in the few games that he go to play in. He needs to learn how to play D and will be a player. He can def score, we all saw it. John Wallace is a great comparions. Ofcourse, Wallace never learned how to play D. But we got Demarr for nothing. So why not keep him for a full season and see what happens. If he fails, great, you can say you told us so, if he all of a sudden becoes a player, we all win again. I mean who would you raterh have on the roster, anderson wasting space or demarr?
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

I agree all Dermarr can do is shoot....he cannot create his own shot while Ariza. Ariza is an excellent passer, ball handler and defender. He does everything really and those guys usually make it in the nba.

well said. If IT succeed in doing what he's trying, we may open a few roster spots, at least enough to have both ariza and dermaar.

patience.
