From the Insider:
Van Gundy plots next move

Jeff Van Gundy's sabbatical might not last as long as we thought.

For now, he's content to attend parties and the elementary-school play of his 6-year-old daughter. But the offers are coming in, and they might be too much for this workaholic.

Van Gundy is receiving lots of endorsement opportunities and even broadcasting could be in his future.

"It's interesting how many people have called about opportunities," he told the N.Y. Post.

Van Gundy scoffed at the prospect of a TV broadcasting career during his resignation conference. "I have the face for radio," he said. But a source told the Post that Van Gundy is giving a TV career heavy thought.

As for his next coaching gig, the Knicks hold his rights through next season. So if VG wants to get back into the fray next summer, he'll have to work out a deal with the Knicks.

So, anyone think we can get a pick out of this ala the Riley-Miami deal? Let's hope VG gets the craving to coach soon.

or maybe dale davis from portland - or maybe a pick from chicago - or maybe something from golden state (JVG might go there).

my guess is that VG would go to a mature playoff team like Portland or a team that is on the cusp - definitely not Chicago.
