My hope is to eventually replace Jose with a younger and more talented guard who would be behind Jerian. I'm sure that's what Phil hopes he can get done at some point.
Gallo missed a ton of passes where guys are wide open, especially on the break. Not a good sign.
What made those some of those passes more noticeable was that a number of them would have been to KP. I remember making a couple of comments about this- vividly remember one play where Porzingis ran the floor and was ahead of Gallo and ready for a pass but Galloway never even saw him.
He also made some knucklehead passes/turnovers.
Funny, though...in SL they did not really run the offense they ran with him last year, and Galloway did not seem to do as well in what was a less structured offensive scheme.
As a "PG" I think he is best suited for the "lead" guard in the Triangle...in the one we ran in the summer I would rather have had Grant running things with Galloway as an off guard.
Maybe there was an issue going on with his wedding plans during SL- perhaps a catering crisis, and this led to his sub-par summer play.
