from Ian Begley's article on whether the Knicks will keep Ndour

http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york-knicks/post/_/id/62728/do-knicks-have-competition-for-ndour

Derek Fisher told reporters in Las Vegas that he’d like to add a point guard who can push the pace to the 15-man roster. Phil Jackson told reporters that he’d like to add a veteran center to backup Robin Lopez.

any idea who these two could be? any Summer League guys at those two positions that could be useful?

to add veteran depth at roster spots 12/13/14 over adding a guy like Ndour or Ledo who could emerge with some D League seasoning seems short sighted.

Cole is not a smart player. He's a get in and be big type of player he can do everything and make it look bad. Sometimes he looks good. Most of the time I don't think he knows what's going on. Might not even realize he's playing basketball.

Larkin is a typical ball dominant pg. He's probably going to do very well in Brooklyn. They play his style. The triangle is not for him but he gave it his best effort.

I think Phil is still looking at trades. Still alot of free agents or there. Plenty of time too

Id look at Green from Denver and Nocguiera from Toronto. They are duplicates for their respective teams. They are both defensive minded players who both pass well. Is it realistic? Im not sure but this is where Id go first. I dont think there is much left?? if anything in free agency that will really help the team. Lets see if someone likes Early or Thansis.

not a bad idea to send feelers out on Early and Thanasis and see if someone wants to swap prospects.

I think either looking at the back end of rosters or even waiting for some players to be cut might be avenue 1. Trading is good because you know you have the player--Im sure out of 29 teams Early and Thansis could have the lower end swap value. Free agency is tougher as we need to wait on it wait out many other teams because there are still many with needs spots and cash. We also have the TPEs

He played for the nets team inVegas. I don't if they are inviting him to training camp.

O'Quinn and Amundson can also play C , although a bit undersized
Ndour i like but shiuld we take him for SF option? We are overloaded with PF

I think N'Dour can play center. It'd be a mistake not to sign him.

I don't know about him being able to play center, but it would be a mistake not to sign him... it's the bottom o f the roster--sign the damn guy who earned his way onto the roster

If you read the article it says other teams are interested and Ndour did make a comment that sounded like he's gonna go to the highest bidder even though he hopes it's the Knicks, but i don't see Phil getting into a bidding war for a kid like Ndour cause that's not his style. I hope he signs with us cause i'd hate to see him become a good player with another jersey on.

I would have Kyle O'Quinn as a back center for Robin Lopez and play Amundson as a 3rd string. At power forwards, I would have Derrick Williams starting with Krispy as a backup and play Ndour as a 3rd string

Maybe Fisher should un-retire. You have to think Bynum is lurking around somewhere and there's guys like Bobby Brown playing for the USA team in the Pan Am games. Not sure if Brown is committed overseas.

I'm sure if he wants to play for the knicks.....They will let Phil know when they get a legit offer, which allows Phil to match or not. So Phil, and all GM's get into bidding wars. Phil just handles it like a pimp. Right or wrong, he sits back and lets the girls come after him, instead of chasing them around. "Ice Berg Slim"

Giving the recent success of GS, it would be a mistake not to sign Ndour. He is an undersized player, but his heart and BB IQ are too good not to retain. He can certainly play the role of Draymond Green.
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

I don't know about playing C but I agree--Ndour's a keeper. Reading this morning that there may be competition for his services. His agent said he's talked to several teams about a possible contract for the upcoming season. I understand waiting it out to see who might shake loose from other teams, but Ndour and Elliot Williams would be my choices for the last 2 spots. I wouldn't even fool around here. I'd be more than good with those two--to me, it'd be like adding 2 additional 1st round picks. I wish there was 1 more spot available that we could use for a legit 7' backup C. Personally, I view taking a flyer on Ndour's 2-way potential and picking up a talented guard with some versatility as slightly more important than a reserve C. Wish there was room for all 3 tough. I'm still annoyed there isn't.

Here's a list of free agents still out there. There's a few listed that have recently signed with teams but there's still a long list of players out there.
