Not sure if Rhondo is still a good defender, he hasn't played that role for many years ever since Celtics acquired Avery Bradley to do all the dirty work
On top of it being a long time ago, lets not forget a younger KG with Perkins/Big Baby use to anchor that middle along with other quality defenders such as Tony Allen/James Posey
DEFENSE is not played by 1 or 2 players, that was where we failed with Iman and Tyson Chandler with no other players to play with them and so many weak links that need help every play
We played better defense as a team with Jeremy Lin with less talent but HIGH IQ players and Heart
Lin
Iman *playing defense on PG at times, especially when needed in the end*
Fields/Walker
JJ/Novak
Chandler/JJ
DEFENSE is a collective Team Effort, the coach must implement a strategy based on the talent the team has and against the opponents weakness's
There are 1v1 defenders/lock down defenders and then there are HELP DEFENDERS, depending on the match ups you force the opponents to the players that has the ability to cheat/help
Mike Woodson tried to get us to play DEFENSE like we were the Detroit Piston with Rasheed Wallace/Ben Wallace's team, along with Prince/Delfino/Affalo, Billups
We didn't even have comparable talent with
Felton/Pablo
JR Smith/Kidd
Iman *WAS NOT A SF, Smith is actually BIGGER than Iman*
CA
Tyson Chandler/Kmart
However, we didn't have the versatility/athleticism/IQ and talent to execute the philosophy that Detroit had
Despite being a coach for so long, Woodson was unable to recognize that
Billups/Mike James/Lindsey Hunter
RIP/ Delfino/Affalo
Prince
Rasheed/Corlis Williamson
Ben Wallace/Elden Cambell/Nazr
The bench players switched from years, though Detroit was a TOP DEF team for a couple of seasons
