Hello all,

Im Gili and im new in here, im planning an NBA trip to NYC on April 2016 (before the season ends) for me and my son 13 years old
We both basketball fans the plan is to come to NYC for about 10-12 days to watch few NY Nicks game in madison square garden,
In addition to watch some Brooklyn nets games and maybe some baseball, hockey and football. but the main goal is the NY Nicks.

Any recommendation where to buy tickets ? where to sit ? any other basketball games or tournament to watch in NYC ? college basketball ?
For both of us it will be the first trip to NYC, so any recommendation for any attraction for 13 year old kid that love sport and basketball will be very appreciated.

Thank a lot !

Gili

W. 4th Street on a weekend is probably a solid bet for your itinerary, weather depending. It's not NBA action, but it's a fun NYC hoops experience.

No football in NYC in April, but baseball season should be underway. Always fun to go to a Yankees game, but Met's tix might be a bit cheaper. If you sit in the bleachers you can still get tickets for under $20 in Yankee Stadium.

Enjoy the City. Sounds like a fun trip. I have a 13yo boy, too. He's a Wizzies fan. Can't say I blame him. The Knicks are awful.

You're not allowed to attend a Knicks game until you learn how to spell KNICKS with a K.

I definitely agree about w 4th street. It is a great tourist destination, especially if your goal is seeing hoop action. I spent many a lunch hour watching the action when I lived in NY.
