We've read about Fish doing some different things with the offense. We know some of the changes started last year and carried over into this SL. I didn't read anything about the different stuff he was doing yesterday. He was really going with some spread offense yesterday. I've captured several different possessions that show clearly Fish was having them use a spread floor style of offense.

Don't know if any of this gets mixed in but it would seem to be a good way to shake things up so teams don't get too comfortable with the looks we give them.

If we have some shooters and slashers out there, it should be fun to watch. KP and Grant, even though rookies, are a bit exciting to plug into this type of system - Grant can drive extremely well and he appears to draw fouls a lot. KP, supposedly can shoot from the outside and we saw he can drive past 4's or 5's, and he is that solid midrange game.

This is the first season in a while that I am truly excited about watching this TEAM, keyword here. I love team ball (and I don't mind Melo being our ISO guy when needed.)

good stuff. ill watch. i didnt watch that game in person...i was actually enjoying vegas
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

What the F...I thought you had an aquarium and were creating different habitats for your fish to live in.
EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?

Gotta have a little fun with thread titles I really like the different tweaks the Knicks are putting in. I think there will be just enough versatility and unpredictability to make it all work next season. Contrary to popular belief they've always tweaked the Triangle over the years. With so many different rosters it only made sense to feature certain players strengths within the offense.

Now it looks like an even more open process of looking at how to enhance the Triangle with some different looks. The base offense can still be worked in but obviously in a less robotic way. It was never the idea to just walk it up every time and force the Triangle against set defense. Unfortunately early in the season our players weren't willing to fully buy in and probe the offense and make it their own. You have to want to do that kind of thing. Seems like Fish isn't going to take any chances this time and put in stuff to force the team not to go FULL ROBOT on him. It's a good idea.

I guess this is where derrick williams fits in, back door cuts and being able to finish strong, slashing to the rim.

I saw more penetration in summer league, than I saw all of last season

This is a good look nix. Well done.my only problem with Fisher really is his substitutions. Sometimes he makes really good, sometimes he makes really poor ones that costs us leads and games and unfortunately throughout last season and midsummer league I have seen more of the latter. I hope he is going thoroughness games and is learning from them.

Just something to keep in mind..I didn't watch the game but the bucks play a hybrid zone/ pack the paint defense. So therefore fisher might have had to settle with players on the perimeter. I didn't see the game though

What I saw was a dribble drive and swing offense to initiate sets into the triangle. The main changes that I think fish is doing is changing up HOW they enter into the triangle

I am hoping this dude show up as a different coach next season. After wstching the SL games, I don't see any change in how he coaches the game. He still sit on the bench and shows no emotion or participation what so ever. I thought he would have at least learned to be a lot more vocal and shout instructions to the guys as the game is progressing.
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)
