They are currently building this kid just so they can destroy him later. I hope the PR folks of the Knicks are well aware of that tactic, and surround that young kid with the best of folks to shield him from those parasites.
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

if he is a straight shooter and a stand up guy who shows accountability then the media will have nothing on him.
knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

the media will love him if he is just decent. we are all desperate.

he has a great personality and is honest in interviews. his interview at halftime was great and many veterans can learn from him.

so here is what phil is thinking ....

He is a smart European kid; I expect him to be well grounded.

I'm sure he's been told many times about the New York media and how they work.

Fans are the most paranoid. The kid heard boos from folks claiming to be fans. He plays well, that turns into cheer, and the media will report that. It's just that the Knicks havent had any stretch of good years to talk about in over 15 years.

Porzingis seems to have very thick skin. He got booed unmercifully on draft night and didnt give a damn. He also has a chip on his shoulder which i like. So i doubt the media will get to him
