if the plan is to find a player who can play 1-2 combo. they need a big and we can supply KT in a transaction that doesnt have to be messy like this crawford crp. we can take voshkul[or any undesirable 2mm $ contract that makes a match] and johnson for KT 2 second round picks + 3mm in cash.

JJ would only be available if the Clippers don't match Phoenix's offer to QRich. They are probably the only other team with a legit shot at Kobe now so it's unsure what they'll do. But if Kobe goes back to the Lakers as expected now that Shaq is gone, the Clipps will most likely match Qrich's offer sheet. If that happens, JJ won't be available.

whether he'd be available or not, his contract is still reasonable & he's not a RFA...why not also go after Al Harrington while we're at it?

neither deal is realistic.

Agreed; and Crawford's more talented than JJ anyway

What makes you say that, w/o throwing stats?

no way. sorry but joe johnson is the better player

#1 hes much bigger 6-7 235 compared to maybe 6-5 190
#2 He has never had a serious injury, Jamal tore two ligaments that needed total reconstruction
#3 Better all-around game much more power in the paint--able to rebound
#4 can play 1-2-3
#5 he's cost effective and we could sign him to an extension this year for 6 years at a lower rate than what Crawford wants.
To me, Crawford's value is playing PG. He's very small at the 2 and he cant play 3. JJ can play and guard 1-2-3. Thats why I am skeptical about this whole thing. I dont think we need to rush into this--let some things play out.

When all is said and done, Kobe will probably re-sign with the Lakers, meaning the Clips will probably match Richardson's offer, at which point Joe Johnson isn't going anywhere.

The Suns already have talent to make up for the loss of Joe Johnson though. It may be a little bit more expensive to capture him, but we can do it. I agree with Briggs. Isiah doesn't nescessarily have to go after JJ, but Crawford, to me, seems like the easy way out. IT needs to use the same creativity he had, when he drafted Ariza, when people were saying we needed to go after Paulding.

Allanfan...unloading all the bad contracts we don't use (Shandon, Moochie, Othell) for bad deals we actually will use (JYD, Robinson to possibly get Z) is creative as hell....I don't think the Knicks have what the Suns want anyway...

I;m talking about going after other players. If you can unload Shandon, go for it, but remember, JYD has a very similar contract if you want to talk about that specifically.

Crawford isn't as creative, b/c it's right in front of Isiahs face, and he looks real good at face value. If you dig a little deeper though, all I've seen from him is jack up shots and not play a lick of defense. Going after Joe Johnson IS much more creative. Again, I doubt it happens, but who knows.

This makes no sense. It is believed that JJ became a star after Marbury left becuase he didn't fit with Marbury's sytle.

You saw JJ become an awesome playe after Marbury left....why would he want to play with him again? JYD is a much better player than Anderson..you have to admit that...

Yeah, but JYD is an awesome role player; Shandon Anderson is garbage

ever watch jamal crawford play? holds the ball alot longer than JJ. i dont know how marbury and crawford will co-exsist. atleast with johnson he can play 2 AND 3 as well as spelling 1 which would make TT expendable.

why bait fans with jc and/or jj who are probably not ny ready. the only other 2 that can also play the 3 that can compliment starbury's style with energy, and talent is none other than ricky davis. this is ny, i wanna see passion and i wanna see style!

i call this duo backcourt supreme

why are we even talking about a guy who isn't even on the market?

i'd rather go after Carmelo Anthony to be honest, but who cares?
