The Bulls have a lot more to lose than we do. After all, they have three croppy contracts in: Jerome Williams, Eddie Robinson, and Antonio Davis that they will desperately need to get rid off

A Davis contract ends soon- its not that bad.

But, who would you rather acquire this off season

Crawford and Ilgauskas or

Antoine Walker and Ilgauskas

Both are attractive and either pair would represent, to me at least, an unbelievable job by Isiah Thomas to rebuild this knick squad.

Give me Crawford and Z over Walker and Dampier anyday....I hate Walker....If Z bombs, at least we still have his expiring contract to trade...The pros and cons on Damp and Zeke are almost equal. It's just we are sure Z can produce if healthy...we are not sure Dampier can produce when he isn't in a contract year...

Walker and Dampier are both pushing 30...Z is 29, I think and Craw is 23 (24?).....

I think Isiah must be drugging Dolan and keeping him busy while he ammasses the largest payroll in NBA history!

Dolan is dead, hes parading him around like "Weekend At Bernies", then once the deals are done, he can say he had his approval as the last words he spoke.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAwe.

Actually these deals make alot of sense....

Crawford is the SG of the future if we get him...
Z is a FA at the end of the year (possible 15 mil off the cap)
Walker if we acquire him is another 14 mil off the cap
Dampier is a banging cneter...I got to see his contract if we get him before I make a decision on him..

All these trades include bad contracts....we get back some bad ones, but they will be useful players...

I think IT is selling Dolan on the buy now pay later motto....have a 100 mil payroll now and later you may get down to about 70 or 60...

Exactly. Isiah knows that the cap situation will suck until Houston's contract expires. All of his moves revolve around that as a target date for flexilbility. Until then, the team might as well spend their way to acquiring some quality.

Dolan can't stand an emtpy building come play-off time... Zeke has the same mandate Sather had when he came in. Fortunately, Zeke understands today's version of his sport better than Sather does his.

I think we'll have at least one bit of good news come 12:01 est.

I'm watching it on YES and it should be coming up again now... It's not in the Sport Flash box this time but it was 20 minutes ago... They just mentioned the Shaq trade this time and said lots of deals expected tomorrow.

I just heard a report that Jamal Crawford had a ham sandwich for lunch. He also had a bag of chips, but they didn't specify what flavor.

I'm guessing bar-b-q... but maybe it was sour cream and onion.

I wonder what he had to drink?

Jamal had a Sprite. Paxon offered him a Mountain Dew, but he threw it in Paxon's face.

But Crawford's uncertain future—the talks with the Knicks could resume Wednesday, in a month or never—has management waiting on the next move.

"I've said all along the only way we could do a deal like Jamal's [to the Knicks] is if we got financial relief," Paxson said. "If we move Jamal, we're moving the best player in the deal. So we have to have some advantage. It just hasn't seemed to work.

"This doesn't mean we're trying to move Jamal. We'd like to have him back. But the dollars that are being talked about aren't something we want to wade into right now."

The Bulls are willing to pay Crawford between $5 million and $6 million but nowhere near the $7 million Knicks President Isiah Thomas offered in one sign-and-trade scenario. Management is mindful of potential fallout if Crawford isn't traded, to the point coach Scott Skiles called him on Thursday.

Eddy Curry said losing his closest friend wouldn't affect his feelings toward the Bulls.

"Emotionally, it would hurt me," Curry said. "And from a team standpoint, Jamal helps us. He wants security and that's understandable. But if we lose him, it's a business."
