crawford deal dead?

I was jsut watching ESPN news and chad ford was on there and he said that he had just got off the phone with the Bulls and they told him that this deal is dead. The reason is because the bulls dont want moochie and want mutumob instead, but isiah is unwilling to give up mutumbo. Also he said that the Big Z trade cant really happen becuase he makes around 14 million and the Knicks dont have anyoen besides kurt thomas that the Cavs are willing to take back, plus they dont want long contracts with alot of salary. So both things appear dead to me, plus i reall ydont like Chad Ford he is always bashing the Knicks anyway so lets hope he is wrong, but from the look of things he might be right

Why would IT hold up this trade just for the sake of keeping Deke dosen't make sense to me.

I gotta believe that Zeke is holding Deke for a possible Dallas trade. Something like Deke, KT for Walker.

Maybe the Bulls got tired of Chad calling them and just gave him that answer to blow him off. That wouldn't surprise me.

I gotta believe that Zeke is holding Deke for a possible Dallas trade. Something like Deke, KT for Walker.
I would rather get crawford then Walker, i just dont see walker having impact with the Knicks.

There has been to much going on for there not to be a deal. Jamal Crawford will be very pissed off if has to go back, I think some type of deal will be done. I wouldn't want to put Mutombo in there either when we could use him in a deal for Big Z or Antoine Walker.

Chad Ford was just on ESPNEws and did say everything Starks3 said he did....Take it with a grain of salt - Chad Ford HATES the Knicks and does not want to see them successful....Paxson doen't want Moochie and does want Deke instead but I think Isiah is trying to hold onto Deke to include him in the deal with Kurt Thomas to Cleveland for Big Z....There are plenty of ways to make the Cleveland deal work for Big Z, so Chad Ford just loses more credibility by acting like the deal can't get done because it can defintely get done....

Makes no sense-why would chi care whether Motumbo came or not? it was merely a contract shift. So what if the knx were left with Moochie or Motumbo unless Isiah is so enamored with the thought of keeping Motumbo or is more interested in getting rid of Mooch.

Isiah isn't stupid, if he doesn't want to include Zeke its probably because he is trying to get him included in another deal. I want Crawford here but not for all of our trading chips.

I cant imagine this being the dying point of this trade. Moochie or Dikembe. I would love to see the S Anderson, F Williams, O Harrington and C Trybanski and 1.7 Mil for C Crawford and Jerome Williams. Dont know if the Bulls would do that. Id settle for ERobinson. Alot easier to move than S Anderson. This would be upsetting, Ive been waiting all day to hear that the deal is done. I personally would rather have Crawford then Z, Dampier or Walker. Give them Mutombo!

all of this is smoke. whatever we hear from now till wednesday is all smoke by reporters trying to get the first scoop or whatever. all isiah and paxson acknowledged to the media is that they're talking about a deal. and the media has been scrambling for the past 2 weeks trying to figure out what it was. it first started out as kurt as the centerpiece and transformed into a deal where it's shandon and moochie. who knows what's going on. we'll just have to wait till wednesday when everyone can legally say what's going on.

a deal has been agreed to but making it work under the CBA is tough and isiah said so himself.

i seriously doubt they want a disgruntled crawford coming back this year, after thinking he was going where he wanted to go.

I don't think what Ford described is a deal breaker. I think it's just a blip. Crawford and his agent can push this to completion and with the way agents are acting this offseason, I expect them to.

Sounds like KT and Dike for Z could be ready to go if they're holding Dike out of this.

If they want Mutombo, Isiah should not only give them Dikembe but should gift wrap Dikembe too
