If Spree really did start to say he wanted to get traded and all, I've almost figured out a trade, the salaries are close but I don't have time now to finish it so I'm posting here if anyone else wants to try to finish it. Here it is:

New York trades: Charlie Ward $5,110,000 to Golden State (plus Trade Kicker $814,500)
New York trades: Latrell Sprewell $11,250,000 to Denver
New York trades: Howard Eisley $4,781,250 to Denver
TOTAL: $21,141,250

Golden State trades: Cedric Henderson $3,000,000 to New York
Golden State trades: Mookie Blaylock $5,400,000 to Denver
Golden State trades: Erick Dampier $6,235,000 to Denver
Golden State trades: Danny Fortson $4,441,558 to New York
TOTAL: $19,076,558

Denver trades: Nick Van Exel $9,093,750 to Golden State
Denver trades: Antonio McDyess $11,700,000 to New York
TOTAL: $20,793,750

Obviously, in real life, the Knicks would probably have to give Denver thier first-rounder this year, but I would do that if you get McDyess and Fortson. McDyess could play 3, and Fortson and Camby @ Forwards. Also, you could play a zone because of their length, and can you imagine the numbers McDyess would put up, in the East, at small forward, with a pass-first point guard, not one who tries to score like Quick Nick. He would thrive, and he's already a 2nd team NBA Star.

Also, I'm not sure what the Knicks would do, but they would have a log jam at power forward and only one point guard, so they could probably deal Harrington, Thomas, or Weatherspoon for a decent backup PG. That would have to be done though, if they did this. The trade ID is 427885.

uhmm, did you just have Golden State trading away their starting center and power forward for 2 point guards?

Denver would probably want to get rid of Tariq's contract. Any way to slip him in there??

Also, I don't think McDyess could play the 3 regardless which conference he plays in. He seems too raw offensively to play the 3.
