I don't know what some of you saw but this man played well yesterday. Converted on an impressive alley oop, passed off on a nice give and go to another player, converted a basket or two in close, hit a couple of jumpers and had at least 3, maybe 4 blocks. He was active throughout on both ends and didn't force a thing. Kept flashing looking for the ball, calling for the ball on post ups--I don't think he got the ball enough. Either his teammates passed him up on some of those situations or had trouble getting him the ball (deflected passes, etc.). The couple of times he did get the ball where he was covered tightly and nothing was there, he didn't panic and moved it quickly. I even like the closeout on the SA missed 3-pt attempt to end the game--had his hand up and didn't commit a foul. Dude showed me he deserves more PT.

I thought he played well, for a guy that never played televised basketball against potential NBA talent.

For a guy that was playing soccer as a main sport, not to long ago.

He's just learning the game, and he's already ahead of the Greek.

He has a unique combination of athleticism, defense and a jumpshot.

Just ask the Greek how he's doing with his (yearly) search for a jumper. He's been trying to find his jumper since middle school.

While Ndour find his imediately after switching from soccer to basketball.

He's also taller and believe it or not, has more hops. So he's more of a rim protector than Than the Greek. These are just facts.

I think based on his international video clips, he actually had a below average game compared to his first summer league game.

I need to rewatch that game, because I didn't see a sbred of reasonable defense being played by him. No doubt he plays with passion and he tries but I just didn't see what you guys are seeing.

I said it in the game thread - I was impressed by him. Could see him as our third string center. If he keeps up this level of play he should def get a training camp invite.

Agree on all counts. He looked better than Thanasis

Saying he looked better than Thanasis isn't saying much at all.

I saw the boxscore--I think it's wrong. Looked like he had closer to 3-4 blocks to me.

He's a season or two away from making this team. Putting him on the Knicks this year would be a disservice to both him and the team. Talented but needs to play somewhere to smooth edges, somewhat clueless on D despite the blocks and could add some weight. He isnt a center but a 4-3

Yeah, my take was that he is a better Thanasis, and that is saying much, at least regarding his athleticism. Thanasis can't shoot and Ndour shot something like 40% from 3??? Did you see him knock down those midrange shots clean? I was shocked actually as I though he was another athlete with no shot. That isn't the case.

Let's see how summer league plays out but if Thanasis keeps this up there is no reason to sign him. We have his rights, we can trade him if he demands but who is going to want him that bad as he looks like a long wait. This Ndour cat is much more ready to contribute.

I see guys on reddit mentioning that he is going overseas but will stay in contact with the team. So, it might be a nice "pick-up" in a way.

Hes a perfect player to stash.....loads of nba potential on both ends. We are lacking that type of athleticism.

I like him too. I liked what I saw on video and I like what I've seen in person. Agree on the stash part too, as long as he's willing to wait for us. If he goes over to Europe, I think he'll have a big year--if he continues to play well, some team will come along and offer him a contract, then that'll be it. Would've been nice to get him on board now with a guaranteed deal, then tuck him away in the DL if need be or simply let him sit and learn on the bench on the 15-man until opportunity comes calling. LT and Amundson signings prohibit that from happening now. 2 spots left (assuming Ledo's a lock) -- ya figure one's gotta go to a versatile guard who can handle and facilitate among other things (looks like Shved, Elliot Williams and Daniel Hackett are the 3 choices here) and a C (I like O'Quinn more at the 4 going in but we'll see--maybe he is better suited at the 5. I gotta believe the other spot will go to Galdikas, provided he plays well in SL/TC--it'll be hard to pass up someone who's 7'2" with this guy's agility and 2-way skills). Wish there was room for Ndour.

Well if he double doubled on his first ever game against NBA competition, he wouldn't be in the discussion for a third string role, now would he?

He is a poor man's Renaldo balkman. I doubt he makes the team but if he can improve his shooting, he might be ready for the league in another year.

Wow really? Looks like he has some semblance of a jump shot and played defense fairly smartly, two thing Balkman never did
