Vandeweghe had conversations with agent Aaron Goodwin on Thursday about Chicago Bulls free-agent guard Jamal Crawford. But Crawford is expected to go to New York in a sign-and-trade deal. With Atlanta's Stephen Jackson agreeing to sign a six-year deal with Indiana on Saturday, Hassell and Crawford are the biggest remaining available names at shooting guard for the Nuggets to pursue. ...

I read that too, but the 2 teams are not a good fit for a trade...they have no expiring contracts and no back court players to trade.....(maybe Rodney White?) but all their pieces (Nene, Nikoloz) are all FC player who, the Bulls have plenty of...., IMHO...

I doubt Denver gets Crawford especially since they are close to getting K-Mart. Plus, Kiki even said once that he doesn't want to have to teach Crawford how to win so I doubt Craw would want to go there after that remark. We are so far in negotiating with the Bulls that there is a very good shot that we will have Crawford by Wednesday.

DEN is saving that cap space in case they can't get a sign & trade worked out for K-Mart...they will offer him a max contract if NJ doesn't like their trade offer...they won't be big players to get Crawford at the money he's rumored to be getting in this sign & trade deal w/the Knicks.
