Pros:
-Plus rebounder
-He is a solid rim protecotr
-His post game has coninuted to develop throughout the year
-He knows the system and is a good chemistry player
-Good free throw shooter
-Stat friendly
- strong finisher at the rim (70%)

Galkdas is an intriguiging prospect, but I really like what we have with Cole.

if cole could ever get in shape he would be awesome. The kid is done after two down n backs. I still like him though.

and this is why he is a perfect back up, not starter.

Yeah. Lopez, OQuinn and Cole is a really nice rotation of really good rim protetors as well as players who can be an impact on the other end of the floor.

Someone must have hit the slow-mo option on that vid. Aldrich's low post moves are as slow as snail. But since we still need one more legit center, I would not mind bringing him back for the vet minimum.

I actually thought Cole took a little step down from the year before. This dude was solid in college--just appeared to do everything better in college--better body, more aggressive, less of a plodder, quicker, showed better overall skills... I dunno--he's an option for sure but I'm really intrigued by O. Galdikas--can't wait to see what he has to offer in SL. We should be able to see right away if OG has more to offer than Cole...Gotta keep Cole in mind for one of the last spots too though, no doubt.

The advanced stats

WS48 Off Rtg Def Rtg OPP FG% WP48 Own Prod Opp Prod +/- Real +/- WAR
at rim
Aldrich .107 104 102 51.4 .167 19.7 21.3 -5.5 -3.27 -.54
League Avg .100 103 103 53.0 .100 15.0 15.0 0 0 1.0

Basically, the first six columns make him look like a slightly above average NBA player. The next four place him at the bottom of the league. For the league min, I think he's a good gamble.
Note that in some cases, I estimated the league average by sorting everyone and taking the mid point.

probably will sign with Mavs if they are unable to trade for Hibbert now

I wonder if Phil Jackson reached out to Jordan
This ruins my hope for Whiteside next season
Though Mavs could still trade for Lopez, they are unlikely to give up as much as Clippers, and a new owner like Steve Balmer that has great passion and deep pockets would because Chris Paul and Blake Griffen could still be in contention for a play off spot with the additions of Pierce/Wesley Johnson, the rest of the MLE, and signing players like Thabeet/McGee/Sanders as well as other PF/C's

The Mavs really wasted Dirk Nowitski's last couple of years because Cuban was unwilling to pay to keep their core of Tyson Chandler and JJ Barea, though Terry/Kidd could be replaced with legit age concerns
While Tyson wasn't that OLD at the time....

Cuban was once willing to overpay for talents in order to compete, a role Steve Balmer would be willing to do after spending 2 Billion for a team with his passion for the game
They likely will be able to build a roster that could contend next season if Wesley Matthews can recover from his achilles surgery/injury and the development of Justin Anderson
With much money to spend next year, possibly about 40-50million, for the likes of a starting Center, possibly a PG, a solid PF/C for an aging Dirk, and added depth

of the FA's remaining Josh Smith/Blatche at PF/C is probably the most talented one available, as Triston Thompson/Lebron James are likely to stay in Cleveland
Though with McGee, Larry Sanders, Thabeet, Cole Aldrich as low cost players, 1year rentals out of the Centers remaining, to try to stay competitive in the Western Conference

Bargnani/Jordan Hill may have interest with 1year rentals

Whitside/Durant

Pau Gasol

Noah

MosGoV

Al Horford

Hibbert/Al Jefferson

D12 *player option but unless he shows he is a TOP TIER Center and still takes a pay cut with little health concerns this upcoming year*
Andrew Bynum???

Mike Conley at PG
Brandon Jennings

Derozan

Solid role players in...

Vasquez

Battum/Gallo/Wilson Chandler
James Johnson

Ryan Anderson
David Lee
ZaZa Puchula

Hickson/Speights/Scola

Eric Gordon
Randy Foye/Bayless
Kent Bazemore
Justin Holiday
Gereld Green, Wesley Johnson

along with some RFA's like DMO, Terrence Jones, Dion Waiters, Harrison Barnes, Jordan Clarkson, Tony Wroten, John Henson, Mike Muscula, Ray Mccullum, CJ Mccllum, Tyler Johnson, Jabari Brown

and the unlikely talents of Andre Drummond *with Anthony Davis/Lilliard type money*
