Since it was a sign and trade and we have a trade exception, does any of his salary come off our total cap? Thanks

The trade exceptions go away once we create the cap room necessary to sign Afflalo and Lopez.

There are no more trade exceptions.

Also, of course the Kyle O'Quinn counts against the cap. We are at the cap now because of that signing. All we have left is the room exception and the ability to sign minimum deals.

possibly yes and possibly no. The official cap has not been determined yet. Also, the exact terms of the deals is not known. It could be possible that the knicks were able to get Lopez, Williams, Afflalo, and Quinn to sign at the lowest base salary possible with 4.5% raises. However, it is admittedly unlikely that Afflalo and Williams would do this since that could mean them losing money if they opt out.

IF they sign 3 vet min contracts then a guesstimation of what the knicks have less is somewhere between 0-3.5m
