Can't believe it's still contingent on Jordan.

Also he got a million more than Tyson, though he's four years younger and hopefully wants to be here more.

I think I prefer Lopez over Monroe at this point. Who were they gonna have play defense if they had Monroe and Melo and Kristaps? Lopez allows for a more balanced front court.

Monroe is a do better defender at C than he was at PF

I think I feel the same way. If they sign Brewer the Knicks will have a nice defensive line up.

He's nowhere near as good as Lopez. Lopez will do the dirty work that Melo and Monroe won't

Yeah, I was disappointed yesterday, but I like bringing in Brewer over Williams. They're adding high character guys who play all aspects of the game.

Who other than Melo is going to score easy shots inside on this team? This is like the Woodson Knicks all over again except we won't win 54 games because that team was better. We need Williams interior scoring. We need any interior scoring. We have zero

they may have paid a little more but he was flexible with the DJ situation. I also think that they needed to get a name guy that other teams were trying for.

The difference isn't the money, it's the opt-out. If you give Monroe the third year player option and he's productive, you end up paying twice as much when he's 26. With Lopez, you get a flat rate that's the going rate for what he does and he's in his physical peak.

Hahn was saying that the Knicks really wanted defense. He doesn't believe that offered the max to him. From i'm guessing they were probably fine with Monroe as an offensive big but were always going to be looking for a defensive C. If Monroe had been signed my guess is they still would've gone after RoLo but maybe offered a little less or moved on to a guy like Kosta Koufos. Seems like RoLo was always going to be a target tho.

If I remember correctly Lopez's defensive numbers are very pedestrian. Much like his brother except he is not the same offensive player

13.5 million is WAY WAY too much for Robin Lopez. This signing is definitely a big NO for me. I was hoping for something in the 8-10 million ballpark.

i wanted lopez BUT i dont think he has done enough to earn almost 14 per year. 10 would have been fair

Just from watching them both there is absolutely no way this is true.
