Unlike many other teams, Dolan is a WILLING SPENDER and will spend the money to build a roster, and KEEP A ROSTER INTACT WITH IMPROVEMENTS, as he is very passionate about the NBA and Knicks, as he was during Layden to Isiah years, but giving full basketball control to Phil Jackson...
Now Phil Jackson needs to sell our FA's on how we would be able to compete this year
1- sets and examples on how they would be utilized this year with a coaching/DEVELOPMENT STAFF and WELL KNOWN TRAINERS to help them elevate their games
2- give them NUMBERS on how they can FIT in other future players and targets/positions that we would be targeting in the next 3years (as the cap will go up)
Like getting some players in NEXT YEARS FA class whether it is Durant *if we can fit him as a target* or other players instead but going for a MAX the following years for Westbrook, while showing the numbers to do it
3- OTHER THAN THE TRIANGLE, show how they could utilize their skills with our talents as well, making UNSTOPPABLE/HIGH % shots plays on OFF, on TOP OF DEFENSIVE schemes
For instance, Jordan will get 1v1 opportunies, as we will get 4 other shooters/ to spread the floor, and even being interchangeable, with KP and another player would have been nice like if we were able to sign
2 of the 3, with Monroe/LA/ Jordan, and eventually KP
Taking Philosophies of GS, who took philosophies of The Triangle, Dantoni's OFF, along with Poppavich, and even OTHER coaches while playing to the strengths of the talent of the roster
It takes time to fully execute the Triangle with ALL PLAYERS/ROTATIONS needed to KNOW the plays, and executed with perfect timing TOGETHER, sometimes breaking out of it as well, to get the match up/advantage we would have, BUT IT TAKES MUCH TIME with HIGH IQ in order to so...
4- Sell them of that vision and how we will be upgrading our DEFENSE to compliment Jordan's strengths, on top of valuing how Jordan has improved his strength/conditioning, athleticism, mobility, to go with his length and MOTOR, as we value what he does and feel he would be ideal for leadership and work ethic, even putting him as KP's mentor as we want him to improve to follow his work out regime because he got stronger/more athletic and want KP to get stronger but not lose his mobility/athleticism
Not only will be getting PROVEN development coaches/Trainers etc to help them to continue to develop their games and FT shooting, like getting development coaches like
Rasheed Wallace Wallace would be ideal for KP's all round game
Robert Horry both players bring much value for our development staff
Andrew Bynum (for Jordan)
Billups/Ron Harper for PG's (as well as shooters that can play on and off the ball in the triangle)
Shooting coach for Jordan specifically
Kapono *would be ideal for shooting coach who has experience in the Triangle with Phil Jackson*
Pippen/Cartight/HOrace Grant/Kukoc and other previous Phil Jackson disciples
Battier/James Posey for DEFENSIVE for WINGS
5- Say that we have sign another PF that could currently help us compete now, a 7 FOOTER that could help him on DEFENSE and shot blocking and rebounding ability but can spread the floor as well
While KP will likely develop by NEXT year and CONTRIBUTE ON A HIGH LEVEL, while how he can help right now with Jordan, as a LEGIT 7 footer with unique skill sets that will be Dirk/Gasol like
For KP, he will spread the floor for him but still be able to switch and help for our PF/C and sometimes even play SF, and be a HELP DEFENDER
KP can also play the HIGH POST and deliver the ball to Jordan, as well as the OPPOSITE, with the Triangle being interchangeable, just as long as EVERY OTHER PLAYER can SHOOT, not allowing double teams and create great spacing
More imporantly, we anticipate BLOWOUTS, like GS, we would be able to rest majority of our players and extend these guys careers, especially by next year when KP can contribute on a HIGHER LEVEL and we can finish our roster with MORE TALENT
6- Getting players like Wesley Johnson, trades for James Johnson, Thanasis, along with some of our summer league/D League players, that could make us a TOP DEFENSIVE team with Jordan
Again, let him know, we want his leadership and ability to take guys under his wing with his strong work ethic, but reassure him that he is going to retire as Knicks, even if he is overpaid at some point in the final years of his contract, FOR VET MIN sign a 2year deal for Jeremy Evans and show our plan on how to defend Lebron/Butler/Durant/Derozan and Carroll, Wall/Beal etc and their respective teams
7- Sell them that we will be a TOP TEAM in the league and at the very least in The East, allowing ALL STAR votes, and the likely hood of advancing in the playoffs, by NEXT year WE WILL BE A TOP 3 team in the league with the targets we will acquire (with multiple targets and not expecting just Durant to sign with us, especially seeing how he plays this year with his foot surgery etc)
We have to find our who their good friends are in the league and bring them with as possible targets if they compliment the system and our players
8- For instance if we signed Greg MOnroe and LA, we wouldn't be a GREAT DEFENSIVE team, however, we could have been a GOOD one, while being a GREAT REBOUNDING TEAM, with a specific rotations that we would have great success with like

For LA, he is a SOLID MID RANGE player and with Jordan can grab OFF REBOUNDS and KP's developing as well to FILL FOR anyone with the Triangle being interchangeable with these versatile/skilled/athletic/strong/ 7 footers with mobility/shot blocking/ability to finish
LA doesn't always want to play Center and with Greg Monroe both could have been interchaneable with Monroe playing mostly Center and likely 1 of them can dominate at their position as well as get their shot off anytime with GOOD OFF rebounding position...
10- SCREW AFFALO if needed as contracts are not signed till later anyway, if he does stay, he can POST UP to initiate OUR OFFENSE as well IF we have SHOOTERS to spread the floor with him, along with HIGH IQ talents, he is capable of playing OFF and ON the ball though, though I question his age, it would be a 2year deal at esstentially the MLE by next year or 2's rising cap, while we would own his early bird rights if he just had a bad season last year....

LA *both Monroe and LA are PF/C's that could put up double doubles and both are in their primes with Monroe being YOUNGER and never played with such STAR power to show his passing game, BUT BOTH ARE GOOD REBOUNDERS, we do not NEED GREAT SHOTBLOCKING if our other positions can defend*
Monroe *preferred at Center as LA and Monroe could be somewhat interchangeable though LA has the better length/athleticism/reach and BOTH could grab over 12 rebounds per game in an uptempo system*
It actually would FIT if CA took a legit paycut, and could have still fit if we used the assets to unload Calderon and trade Early that should net us a 2nd rounder
Now sub in Monroe since he joined the Bucks for Jordan then LA could play a role similar to Blake Griffen but he is taller and more skilled than BG
Though Monroe is gone, Tobias Harris is still available and we may test Orlando with a NEAR MAX contract, or a 3year deal like Chandler Parsons, with player option for year 3, making it very hard for Orlando to trade him as he is can not be traded in year 1 without his consent, even if this is slightly less than the MAX
Jordan wants more touches and be more involved in the game on OFFENSE and NOT JUST FOR DEFENSE, in which THE TRIANGLE would allow him to get more touches
While he can be a Shaq and Bynum type player, with KP being a Pau Gasol/Dirk/KG/Anthony Davis type player, at worse a BIGGER ROBERT HORRY on OFFENSE and a BIGGER AK47 in his prime on DEFENSE, CA playing a role that Jordan/Kobe did with his turn around jumper, Thanasis/Wesley Johnson playing some DEFENSE and play a ROLE similar to Ariza/Pippen, Grant/Sved being solid player on OFF and DEFENSE
Wesley Johnson is available and could defend MULTIPLE positions and is a realist target as well with our cap space, and we still could
Add in some targets like David Lee *playing Odom's role*, Gallo/Wilson Chandler/Battum and other talents in next years FA class, even ROLE players/snipers like Randy Foye
Sam Thompson is another SG/SF that has a similar skill set to Ariza that is undrafted, add in some of our Summer and D league roster that would fit in like Orlando Sanchez playing Sullingers role
IF needed, we will stretch Calderon, or trade him using assets to do so
Though with Jordan, we can do a 3-4 team trade, if Jordan FORCES his way here, possibly along with LA, as well

So there could be our 1st rounder/ 1-2 (at most from GS) draft picks or Kevin Looney, as well as possibly Bogut (might not have negative value as he isn't overpaid with this cap exploding)
May be Lee/Speights if GS wants to get down in salary after Draymond's Green extension, or they could part with some of their younger talents like Justin Holiday (great value/versatility from SG-PF) James McaDooo (PF/C like JJ but better)
