I think the Knicks execs should just chill out and let the pieces fall together. The only free agents I think they should target at bargain prices is Cory Joseph, Kosta Koufos, and Robin Lopez.

If Greg Monroe wants to act snobbish like the rest and cash in for the max well then forget him.

I rather the Knicks save some money instead of wasting all their chips on players that looking for a huge payday

Rick Ledo as a starting shooting guard don't seem so bad. Maybe he can turn it around and improve his game over the summer like butler and
Middleton did

I thought you were MIA after we bypassed Kaminsky. Lopez and Koufus are both C? And you know Cory Joseph is going no where.

Average guards getting paid north of $10mil and Greg Monroe is acting snobbish? $15mil for Monroe is a Bargain. However, Not to Phil apparently

The market will correct itself.

Only take high one year contracts... Gotta consider the possibility of Kevin Durant. What's the point of clearing all this cap space if your just gonna turn around and sign some overpaid players. Shumpert for $10 mil? Gimme some of that **** they smoking.

It is not a bad idea to develop Ledo. They should do so, instead of paying 10m to Afflalo. Watching Ledo develops could be more exciting.

The thing is, the fans may not be patience to see it happens.

I was pissed about the Knicks selecting Kristaps. I've watched his full games instead of relying on the tabloids, highlights, and workout videos. I'm very skittish about him. I won't be surprised if he's trash and kaminsky ends up better than expected. If we strike out on RoLo then i think Koufos should be Knicks next target. Will the Spurs even have enough room for Cory after they sign Kawhi?

But can Ledo really improve to a quality starter or is he simply what he is now?

I read that phil asked him about a 1-2 million pay cut so he can bring other key FA to make us contenders. Greg is looking to get paid and phil already said that he's not impressed about those king of players. I'm not mad at Greg trying to get his money right but that's all he seems to care about.

That's funny. Then why didn't he make Melo take less to help our team build a contender? Why did he take 40% of the cap? All he had to do was take $4-5mil less in the early part of the deal and we could've added multiple quality players.

Now they are Nickle & Diming Monroe for $1-2mil? When average guards are signing for north of $10-12mil?

Please explain the thought process there to me.

The only way he busts is through injury. What changed my mind on him was when I watched that first workout. It wasnt looking at dunks or shooting etc.. everyone can do that. It was his mobility and looking at his body closer it lead me to believe he can put on some size. I was a big Kaminisky guy too. I know hes better than what many purport. He has a tremendous feel for the game--more so than most people in the lottery right? Add in hes 7-1 and maybe a top 3 shooter in the draft EASILY and hes an immediate contributor from the 5-4 --hes a mismatch. BUT IF Kristaps can put on 20 hard pounds increase his core strength and develop post moves--he has the unusual size length and spring to be post dominant--I dont see Frank there and that was the deciding factor to have me SLIGHTLY lead toward Porzingis. Frank to me is a risk free proposition KP no.

This. For me, I've seen enough of KP in the post to say that he has great potential to develop there, couple of bank shots at about 15 feet out that were so sweet. It's all about the injury potential and adding strength in the right ways.
