I would offer Kanter a 3 year max -- 3 years 48mm with a team option for year 4. We would need a rim protector at C but that would give us the big time 2nd scorer and in the east Kanter will have many 25-10 games. That would take care of interior scoring and rebounding--to bad we didnt get in on Branden Wright at 3 years 18mm.

This guy can average 20-12 55% Melo can avg 25--we add a Koufus who can protect the rim and a SG who can defend.

Sigh. At this point I'd have to agree. And I'd live with his awful defense. Okc made a big deal to acquire him though. I don't think they'll let him go
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

I read this from a recent article. Lol

"Enes Kanter, Oklahoma City. I don’t know what the Thunder thought it was getting when it traded for Kanter in February, but… what… a… defensive… disaster. Kanter can score, no doubt, and he looks like a big man who should be able to play the pick-and-roll. But he can’t. He truly cannot. He either doesn’t know how or doesn’t want to or just has a supreme talent for doing exactly the wrong thing whenever his man comes over to screen a guard. Kanter’s so bad that opponents basically just call pick-and-rolls when he’s in the game, and if you can’t guard the pick-and-roll, you are doomed. Among centers who get regular time in this league, there are several really porous defenders–and Kanter is by far the worst. He’s awful. I don’t think there’s any way he turns into even a half-way mediocre defender at any point in his career, it’s just too far gone.

OKC’s on/off defensive splits: With Kanter on the floor, the Thunder gave up 113.0 points per 100 poss’s. With him off (in the games he was on the team), they gave up only 105.1 per 100. Utah’s on/off D splits with Kanter this season: 112.1 per 100 when Kanter was on the floor, 103.5 per 100 when he was off (in the games he was on the team). That’s two teams, one in Utah and one in Oklahoma, with almost identical large improvements precisely when Kanter was NOT in the game vs. when he was.

One more stat: Kanter registered a -3.88 DRPM this season, which ranked him 469th out of 474 total players. Oh, and that mean point I made about Griffin only collecting 35 blocks in 67 games? Kanter only had 29 in 75 games split between Utah and OKC. And he’s 6-11."

LOL

You mean if Monroe, LMA, and D Jordan all go elsewhere?
In that case, I'd like to see what GSW will give us to take Lee's contract. I'd rather have Lee and Looney than Kanter and definitely rather have them than Afflalo.

Some of his advanced stats are a disaster. There's the info. callmened posted. Then his real plus minus is 61st out of 73 centers (-2.72) and his Wins above Replacement is -.49, meaning the stat is saying he was less valuable than a D league level replacement player. His Value over Replacement stat is also negative (-.1). I think there must be a lot of things he's doing on defense that hurt the team.

I dont care what that says--he can be dominant in the east. Hes an EXCELLENT offensive player and a top 5 rebounder in the NBA. You have to overpay but in 2 years it will be a fair value deal. Hes a guy who can get 25 points and 10 rebounds consistently--how many of those types live on the Earth? Thats why I wanted Justin Andersen and Powell for defense. Its near impossible to ay I want this that and perfect from each player. You need TEAM balance. I think you can ask Enes to get 22-24 points a night in 36 minutes grab 10-12 rebounds and put him in position to play a role with good team D. I would say this again there are only a few humans on the Earth who can score 25 points and grab 10+ rebounds.
