Both players while older would fit like a glove this season. Preserve the cap space for next yr. So we would get productive players this yr that can help push us for playoffs while preserving our cap. We would lose 14mil in cap space leaving around 12mil remaining. Could use some of that 12 to sign Beverly giving us:

Beverly/Grant
Livingston/Galloway

Then use the remaining money to fill out he center position.

This move would put GS under the lux tax for next season or they could use the 14mil saved for the current season to pay Draymond. They would save 5.8mil in total on the deal.

um Livingston was a key player on their team. doubt theyll lose him

the only things i expect the SF warriors to do is resign green, trade lee and maybe waive speights

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

to save a crapload of money. I don't have a link but with the resigning of Green, Lee's contract ($15M) will cost the Warriors something like $30M+ if you include the tax costs. That's huge.

I don't know how a trade like this would work, but to take on pure salary like Lee's, I'd want some picks coming back this way.

Resigning Green would put them at or close to 100mil. So if the Lux Tax was at 80 mil then they would pay 3.25 on the dollar times 20. If its at 90 mil they would pay 2.50 on the dollar.

Martin we would also be dumping 15mil in total salary on them with Calderon so that would be the trade off. Allow them to resign Green with a more spread out contract.

Everyone else would ask for a first rounder to 2 for Lee. See Asik and Lin.

this might be the only move we're left with- taking on a salary, perhaps for a draft pick.

I'd be happy adding Lee & a first rounder and giving them cap room. That might be a major win for us.

Would love Lee back in a Knicks uniform. He'd be a modern day Kukoc/Rodman hybrid.

DLee is an expiring contract this coming season. Wouldn't his contract be an asset?

Its not because it prevents them from resigning Green without going over the tax. And its only an asset to a team looking to dump a long term contract on them.
