Through all the rumors for trades and using the MLE, has everyone given up on Rasheed? Just curious. I basically gave up until I recently read an article at "The Sports Kiosk" saying Sheed's family decided on NY since they have family ties there. I have no idea how much to trust this site, but I'm still gonna assume Rasheed will end up in Detroit. I by all means wouldn't be upset if this is true.

It was just kinda weird realizing that his name hasn't been mentioned in a while after being talked about nonstop.

Yea I read this article, from what I have heard this source isn't really reliable so I'm just gonna assume that Rasheed is still going to resign with Detroit. I don't think anyone has given up on Rasheed, I think we just realize that we don't have much of a chance to get him realistically. That, and a lot of us have been caught up with the Crawford rumors lately. I still think there is a small chance he might come.

Sounds very unrealistic. I mean, who rites sports articles like that? Its almost like, hey why dont we write a blog that would promse Knicks fans everything they ever wanted regarding Sheed. Looks like a hoax to me.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

According to the site, the guy that wrote the Sheed article actually worked for ESPN

I think if Sheed were going to come here, IT would be working on a sign and trade with Joe Dumars so that they could match the offer to Okur- I doubt Joe D would want to loose two players in the off season.

And, I believe his family ties are down in Phily, no?

I believe he grew up in Philly, I don't know if he still has family there though.

I used to think Sheed was coming... What with all the feel good articles NY writers have been writing from their sources...

Until pessimism kicked in. Now I think his agent was just using NY as a bullet in Rasheed's resigning, ala webber.

Thank you Cuban's essay! Thank you pessimism! Now I won't be dissapointed...
