This dude is a free agent and he can flat out ball. He has unlimited range and athleticism; and is now a mature young man. Other then being a poor defender, but he can do so much as a player. What do you guys think? Is he better then THJ and Early?
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

He's definitely better than those guys. He's not a great fit in the back court with Calderon, but would be a fantastic 6th man for us.

Phil looked for high IQ players, Green does not fit that mold.

I'm pretty sure he's a SF but can probably be a combo 2/3. I'm a fan and even had him on my lists when i would make any free agents that I want for the Knicks posts.

I agree. Green has improved but he's still not a high IQ player. I think we've seen examples of what Phil wants in a guard. Jerian, Shved and Ledo are the kind of guards he prefers. Guys that are smart, can penetrate, pass, PnR. Basically Big Combo Guards that are part SG and part PG.

I think the IQ concerns were presented early on in his career. He has improved drastically

i dont think he can flat out ball but he's exciting to watch (big difference). this kid is JR smith without all the baggage. i dont think hes that mature (started pouting on suns bench and coach refused to play him). he cant do so much as a player besides dunk, jump and hit 3s on occasion. lol. sadly with that said, he would be a HUGE upgrade. lol thats how bad this knicks team was. lol

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

While those would be solid/cost efficient players, we do not add a LOW POST THREAT
Unless we get a TOP tier Center, I just would rather not overpay for a Robin Lopez who was not very good for his entire career outside of 1year with LA
He probably fit in with Portland because they have many versatile talents and shooters, along with a very good versatile/all round skill/athletic/mobile/long reach of ALL STAR LA

Lilliard
Wesley Matthews
Battum
LA
Lopez

Wonder what Koufus/Brandon Wright would be demanding in this market
Especially with the way GS and Atlanta, without a LEGIT center, with a NBA that is evolving towards a guard/ PnR teams, The Center is no longer utilized like it was once especially if it is with one that is not athletic/mobile and able to contest 3pt's for stretch 4/5's and defend guards

The league could be heading towards more Meyers Leanards and PnR Center's with a roation of cheaper options just like how the RB are no longer workhorses like they use to be with a QB/WR league
Rarely even drafted in the 1st round and little wanting investers like Arian Foster/AP, even DeMMarco Murry despite a great year, making much less than he would years ago....

MoSgov and Tristan Thompson/Henson type Center's, which are both athletic, and less off the Bogut's and Lopez that are not scoring threats and liabilities on DEFENSE

That is why I think Greg Monroe should play Center, where EVERY OTHER POSITION must be good defenders with 1-2 GREAT DEFENDERS
Problem is CA isn't a good defender no matter what position he is in and is why I would much rather move him if we could, where Monroe would be our weakest defender, while every other position could rebound/defend with multiple ball handlers/skilled players like GS has or with The Lakers with players like

The league is evolving and we must be able to defend the league as they rest of the other 29 teams evolve, a reason why OK4 was not drafted by the Lakers as he likely will be a liability on DEFENSE and concerns for his mobility/FT shooting/spacing, certainly will not be able to defend G's either in a GUARD LEAGUE

Pau Gasol at Center/ Noel/ DeAndre Jordan/Andre Drummond

Odom and/or Horry at PF, KAT/Anthony Davis able to play PF/C, Draymond Green

Ariza able to play and defend 4 positions in his prime, Danny Green/Battum/Kawaii Leanard/Harrison Barnes/Iggy *able to defend MUTLIPLE POSITION*

Kobe in his prime as a lock down defender or Wesley Matthews/ Jimmy Butler/ Klay Thompson/Winslow

Brian Shaw or a BIG PG like Wall/Westbrook etc that has the ability to defend multiple position, a reason why some including me wanted Mudiay, though I thought KP was the safer pick for our future for the Triangle, maybe even Giannes type young talents that could defend MULTIPLE positions and offers much versatility

I'm a big fan of Ajinca. get him for cheap. good defense and underrated offense
